This article contains spoilers for Solo Leveling and Solo Leveling Ragnarok.
Solo Leveling has, with its anime adaptation, become the center of attention in the anime community all over the world. This anime, which aired first in 2024, became an instant hit, and since then, fans have only craved more content from the series. While some fans are waiting for more anime content, there also exists the web novel, and readers want more content from the original creator Chugong, even more so now that Ragnarok has ended.
Solo Leveling Is Over, But These Anime Will Fulfill Your Cravings
Solo Leveling season 2 ended, but these other anime series will fill the gap for fans.
To many fans’ delight, Chugong himself has just revealed that he is considering making a comeback with a brand new sequel where Jinwoo would most likely be the main focus again.
Solo Leveling Creator Reveals He Is Considering A New Sequel Set In The Original Solo Leveling Universe
Chugong Makes Big Reveals In A Recent Interview
The original Solo Leveling web novel, created by Chugong, ended in 2018. Since then, seven years have passed. In that time, Solo Leveling did get a sequel, known as Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. However, Ragnarok was not created by Chugong, and was instead written by another creator, Daul. Now, Ragnarok has also reached its conclusion, and if there’s one thing fans really want, it’s another sequel by Chugong himself.
It Might Be Time To Say Goodbye To Solo Leveling Season 3, And Welcome Something Even Better
Solo Leveling season 3 isn't coming, and fans can look forward to this series instead.
Recently, in an interview on LitRes, Chugong confirmed he is indeed considering creating a Solo Leveling sequel. This definitely has fans hyped, as it has been very long since Chugong took the reins of his own creation. Right now, with Solo Leveling at the top of its popularity, it is definitely the ideal time to come out with a new sequel.
This is Chugong’s full statement on the matter:
“Ragnarok was a spin-off created for fanservice. I was curious to see how another author would write Solo Leveling. This story is part of the Solo Leveling universe, but it isn’t a direct continuation of the main plot. It’s more like one of many possible scenarios—similar to Marvel’s parallel universes. And of course, I’m also considering the possibility of writing a sequel myself.” — Chugong
What Will the Next Sequel Be About?
- Sung Suho Will be Discarded
- The Story Will Focus on Jinwoo
With Chugong announcing the possibility of a new sequel, many fans wonder what it could be centered around. While a lot remains to be decided, one thing fans know for sure is that it won’t be about Sung Suho, Jinwoo’s son. Chugong has mentioned that Suho’s story didn’t take place in Solo Leveling’s original universe, but instead it happened in a parallel one. It’s possible that Suho doesn’t even exist in the original Solo Leveling world. Instead, whatever new sequel Chugong comes up with will probably focus on Solo Leveling’s original MC, Sung Jinwoo.
Fans are definitely excited to see what Chugong can come up with, especially as Jinwoo has become too overpowered for all his foes in the story. Perhaps, even bigger enemies are about to make a comeback in the series, and that would certainly be very exciting.
Solo Leveling has two seasons out right now, one with 12 episodes, and the other with 13, for a combined episode count of 25 episodes available to watch right now. The series can be streamed on Crunchyroll for fans to enjoy while awaiting any more news concerning the third season. For fans who can’t wait for season 3 to come out, checking out the manhwa might be a great option.
