This post contains spoilers for Solo Leveling.
Solo Leveling is the most famous manhwa in the world. It has already amassed a loyal fan base with the web novel version, but it truly became mainstream only after the anime was released. The immensely high quality of the anime injected a major popularity boost, and within no time, Solo Leveling's name was on everyone's lips.
While no other manhwa can match Solo Leveling's fame, it doesn't mean that the series is perfect. In fact, there are many Korean web novels that are better in terms of quality.
Solo Leveling's Sung Jinwoo Has Already Been Surpassed By 1 Manhwa Protagonist
Jinwoo from Solo Leveling is the most popular Manhwa character at the moment. He might have some competition, however.
Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint Has Beaten Solo Leveling
The Manhwa Is Adored By Masses
- Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint is adored by readers
- It has a higher score than Solo Leveling
Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint has a score of 8.65 on MyAnimeList, which is marginally higher than Solo Leveling's 8.61. Since the site counts user scores, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that fans enjoy Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint more than Solo Leveling. Some people may bring up the discrepancy between the number of ratings, but as previously stated, Solo Leveling is more popular. After all, it has an anime adaptation.
It is also worth mentioning that Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint has already confirmed its anime adaptation, but there is no news about a release date yet. A trailer for the anime was shared several months ago on Crunchyroll's official YouTube channel, and it has amassed hundreds of thousands of views. Once the anime adaptation is released, there is a good chance that Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint will get closer to Solo Leveling's fame.
The Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint's anime adaptation has shared little to no details. Crunchyroll has been quiet regarding the adaptation, but that could change in the coming months, especially since there has been no news regarding the third season of Solo Leveling. If Crunchyroll is smart, then it will push out the Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint to make up for the absence of Solo Leveling. The only thing Crunchyroll needs to get right is the studio.
As fans saw recently with One Punch Man Season 3, selecting the wrong studio can adversely affect an anime. There's no question that the people at J.C. Staff gave it their best shot, but sometimes that isn't enough. So, Crunchyroll needs to be careful with its selection. It's possible that A-1 Pictures will handle the production of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. After all, it is one of the best studios out there.
Solo Leveling Season 3 Is Not Releasing Anytime Soon
Solo Leveling's third season remains one of the biggest talking points within the anime community. Most fans were expecting some kind of announcement after the second season finished airing, but to their surprise, Crunchyroll didn't share any information. Since then, there has been constant rumor mongering within the community, with some people suggesting that the third season is already in production.
However, there has been no credible evidence that would suggest that A-1 Pictures is working on the next season of Solo Leveling. Early reports suggested that the director of Solo Leveling is busy with other projects, which is why the anime has been sidelined. This makes sense, as it would be reckless and foolish to rush the anime's production just to please the masses. A-1 Pictures should take a year or two to finish the production for Solo Leveling's Season 3 so the quality isn't compromised.
Another possible reason why there hasn't been any news regarding the third season is that maybe A-1 Pictures isn't sure if it wants to make a regular anime season. Given the success of the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie, it is entirely possible that A-1 Pictures is having second thoughts. Solo Leveling isn't that far from Demon Slayer in terms of popularity, at least when it comes to online presence. The studio could potentially try to release an anime movie that could cover several arcs. If the studio doesn't release a movie instead of season 3, there is a genuine possibility that it may do so afterward.
