Solo Leveling's story is dominated by Sung Jinwoo. After all, he is the main protagonist of the series. So it's hardly surprising that he gets the most screen time. Unfortunately, it causes other good characters to settle for smaller roles. They stay in the background, and fans are unable to learn about their personality and abilities.
7 Strongest Guild Masters In Solo Leveling, Ranked
Very few hunters can go toe-to-toe against these guild masters in Solo Leveling.
Due to their limited roles, Solo Leveling fans often wonder what if the characters were made the leads of a completely different series? Would they thrive under pressure, or would they crumble? That's why, in this post, fans will find all of Solo Leveling's characters who could actually lead their own series.
This post contains spoilers for Solo Leveling.
Cha Hae-in
Affiliation: Hunters Guild
- An elite swordsman with incredible speed
Cha Hae-in is a recurring character in Solo Leveling. As an S-rank Hunter, Cha Hae-in holds a great deal of power, which she utilizes to take down any creatures emerging from the gates. Cha Hae-in fights using a sword, but she doesn't rely on orthodox sword styles. Instead, she finds the most creative ways that even catch her opponents off guard. Cha Hae-in's physical strength and speed are not to be underestimated either. Her pace, especially, is incredible, and she can use it to blitz her enemies.
Clearly, Cha Hae-in has enough strength to become a powerful protagonist, but she also has a great personality. Firstly, Cha Hae-in doesn't let rank get to her head, unlike other Hunters, who constantly look down on others. She is also meticulous in approach, which is why she never does a job half-heartedly. Finally, Cha Hae-in is a hard worker who never stops training. All these qualities make her an ideal protagonist.
Thomas Andre
Affiliation: Scavenger Guild
- The strongest Hunter in America with an interesting upbringing
Thomas Andre is the strongest National Level Hunter in Solo Leveling. His crazy strength is a result of him being granted a fragment of the Ruler's power. Thanks to the Rulers, Thomas Andre was able to fight alongside other elite Hunters to take down the nefarious Kamish and save humanity from extinction. Following their victory, Thomas Andre and his allies became renowned around the world for their strength and were granted special privileges.
Solo Leveling: 7 A-Rank Hunters in Solo Leveling Who Deserved More Recognition
Sometimes, the real heroes are in the background. Meet the A-Rank Hunters whose stories are worth a second look in Solo Leveling.
While he may be a celebrity nowadays, things weren't always so good for Thomas Andre. He spent most of his childhood in poverty, and he lived in a place where only the strong survived, leading him to value strength. When he grew up, Thomas Andre became haughty and aggressive, and it was all due to his past. It's quite obvious that Thomas Andre is a flawed character, but that is his biggest selling point. He would make an excellent choice for leading a different series, as his actions would divide opinion and get the audience talking.
Sung Il-Hwan
Affiliation: The Rulers
- A spinoff covering his adventures as a Hunter would be incredible
Sung Il-Hwan was the father of Jinwoo and Jinah. After being trapped inside a dungeon, Il-Hwan was presumed dead but was allowed to return by the Rulers on the condition that he would do their bidding. The Rulers endowed him with some of their power, which made Sung Il-Hwan much more dangerous to fight against.
Solo Leveling: 8 Characters Who Are Stronger Than National Level Hunters
These Solo Leveling characters can easily beat National Level Hunters.
Sung Il-Hwan didn't get enough screen time in Solo Leveling, which is why a spinoff focused on him would make for an excellent read. It could cover Sung Il-Hwan's early life and how he met Jinwoo's mother. Furthermore, it could reveal how he was trapped inside the dungeon and how he fared inside.
Go Gunghee
Affiliation: Korean Hunters Association
- Spinoff covering his short but incredible stint as a Hunter
Go Gunghee was the first Korean S-rank Hunter, so he was treated with a great degree of respect by the people. However, he couldn't utilize his power for too long due to his frail body, so he ended up taking a more bureaucratic position.
Go Gunghee was more or less wasted as a side character in the story, but there is no denying that he has the potential to lead a separate story, which could easily cover his adventures as a Hunter before he decided to hang up his boots. Additionally, the story could cover his daily struggles, such as the side effects of using too much of his power in one go.
Choi Jong-In
Affiliation: Hunters Guild
- The best mage-type Hunter deserves his own series
Choi Jong-In is the leader of the Hunters Guild in Korea, which means he employs a lot of people, including Cha Hae-In. Aside from Sung Jinwoo, he is one of the few characters in Solo Leveling who don't crumble under pressure. Choi Jong-In is able to maintain his cool in the face of danger and come up with a solution.
In addition to having a keen intellect, Choi Jong-In also has immense power. He is an elite mage and, as a matter of fact, the best in Korea. Choi Jong-In's spells have so much power that they can incinerate most beasts almost instantly. Despite having so much skill, Choi Jong-In was reduced to a minor character. However, this could easily be fixed by having him lead a new series altogether.
