Whereas Solo Leveling used to claim this spot when it was airing, now, it is Dandadan that has established a firm grip on this spot.

That's precisely why it is time for them to invest in a series that's equally as good, with the potential to be even better, given what comes next according to the manga. Both Solo Leveling and Dandadan are absolutely sensational pieces of anime. However, it can be said that Dandadan has the potential to surpass Solo Leveling due to one main reason. Dandadan has a far better story to tell. While Solo Leveling is great, its popularity mostly stems from high-octane battles that are displayed in just about every episode. For Dandadan, things are different. Not only does it have absolutely gorgeous battle sequences, but it also has a beautiful story woven around those battles.

It's still too early to conclude that Dandadan is better than Solo Leveling, but based on everything that the anime has been delivering this year on Crunchyroll, fans know that it has a fair shot at becoming one of the very best anime series of the recent era, surpassing even Solo Leveling eventually.
