Lord of Mysteries has captivating writing, and so far, it is superior to anything seen in Solo Leveling. Fans can’t wait for the anime’s return with Season 2, which has already been confirmed.

If there’s one Isekai series that has taken the world by storm, it’s That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. This series is Japan’s most popular Isekai at the moment, and the story, just like Solo Leveling, features an overpowered main character.
The main character dies in the original world and wakes up as a slime in another one. That slime quickly starts getting stronger, eventually taking on the name of Rimuru Tempest. Rimuru Tempest has become one of the most popular OP main characters, even more than Sung Jinwoo.

Every time he dies, time turns back, giving him the chance of approaching situations differently, and surviving different trials.

Some wouldn’t consider Sword Art Online a true Isekai. While the main characters weren’t taken into a completely different world, they were put into a virtual one. By all means, Sword Art Online is an Isekai, and it is the anime that really popularized the genre overseas.
Sword Art Online follows Kirito, who is stuck, alongside many others, in a virtual video game world known as SAO. Anyone who logs in is stuck. At first, at least, the main goal is to break out. The early seasons of Sword Art Online are definitely a must-watch, and some would say they're even better than Solo Leveling.
