This article contains spoilers from the Solo Leveling manhwa.
Solo Leveling is gearing up for Jin-Woo's toughest fights in Season 3, but fans are equally excited to see how his relationship with Cha Hae-In will evolve after their life-or-death situation on Jeju Island. Many fans are rooting for Jin-Woo and Cha Hae-In together, hoping Solo Leveling Season 3 will give them the romantic development they deserve amidst the chaos and noise.
However, manhwa fans know that Sung Jin-Woo and Cha Hae-In have a slow-burn relationship, one that doesn’t rush into romance just because they have obvious chemistry and strong romantic tension. This makes it harder for the two to grow closer, especially with Jin-Woo owing Cha Hae-In a massive apology for his unforgettable blunder next season.
Solo Leveling Season 3 Will Officially Make Major Changes To The Story
Solo Leveling season 3 will be controversial, as some major changes are about to occur.
Jin-Woo and Cha Hae-In Are Still Not Together in the Solo Leveling Anime
No Real Development for Jin-Woo and Cha Hae-In
- Jin-Woo and Cha Hae-In are not romantically connected yet.
- Solo Leveling Seasons 1 and 2 had no room for romance between Cha Hae-In and Jin-Woo.
Solo Leveling Seasons 1 and 2 provided the audience with an action-packed story centered on Sung Jin-Woo. Fans loved watching him grow from being a pathetic underdog to becoming a worthy successor of the Shadow Monarch. He turned the tables around with his newfound power, and fans couldn’t get enough of his dungeon crawls, boss fights, and phenomenal displays of power.
Time moves fast in Solo Leveling, and fans know there was not enough time for Jin-Woo and Cha Hae-In to develop romantically. The world, or rather the mysterious system, requires Jin-Woo to grow stronger than anybody else, instead of giving him a breather to enjoy life and his status as Korea’s strongest hunter. Dating is a luxury for Jin-Woo, and as expected, Seasons 1 and 2 had little to no room for any romance with Cha Hae-In.
In other words, Cha Hae-In and Sung Jin-Woo are still acquaintances in the anime. They are not yet dating, but there are signs that Cha Hae-In had captured romantic feelings for Jin-Woo even before the fourth Jeju Island raid started. Eagle-eyed fans noticed how she constantly looked for Jin-Woo's presence, which is a telltale sign that she has grown attracted to Jin-Woo.
Jin-Woo Will Apologize to Cha Hae-In
Jin-Woo Will Accidentally Watch Cha Hae-In in the Bathroom
- Jin-Woo sees Cha Hae-In in the bathroom through Shared Senses.
- Jin-Woo wants to apologize to Cha Hae-In.
It’s rare for Sung Jin-Woo to apologize to anyone in Solo Leveling, especially after he has grown into a near-unstoppable S-rank hunter. However, he will find himself in an awkward situation with Cha Hae-In in the Double Dungeon Arc that will encourage him to apologize to her. At this point, they already considered each other friends, with Jin-Woo assigning a shadow over Cha Hae-In to look out for her.
In Solo Leveling Chapter 123, Sung Jin-Woo decides to use the Shared Senses effect of his job-exclusive skill, Shadow Preservation, to check in not just on his sister Jin-Ah, but also on some of the people he was close with, including Cha Hae-In. Jin-Ah has recently suffered from a traumatizing experience at school, where an unexpected dungeon break happened, leaving her shaken and in need of protection.
I better apologize one of these days. Do I need to buy her lunch? —Sung Jin-Woo to Cha Hae-In
To ensure Jin-Ah's safety, Jin-Woo assigns Beru to keep a constant lookout for Jin-Ah, while Cha Hae-In also gets her own shadow protector. Through Shared Senses, he can monitor their surroundings in real time, but Jin-Woo doesn’t expect to see Cha Hae-In in the bathtub, completely naked and unaware of being watched. This awkward sight leaves Jin-Woo frozen and his face burning with embarrassment, realizing that even his best intentions can lead to the most humiliating situations. As a result, Jin-Woo strongly feels the urge to apologize to Cha Hae-In, though it will certainly be difficult for him to explain the situation without making it worse.
Solo Leveling Season 3 Will Be the Best Season for Jin-Woo and Cha Hae-In
Jin-Woo and Cha Hae-In Are Expected to Share More Romantic Moments
Despite the lack of romantic development between Cha Hae-In and Sung Jin-Woo, Solo Leveling Season 3 is shaping up to be a crucial season for the two characters, unless the production team decides to cut some of their special moments. For now, fans can expect to see Jin-Woo and Cha Hae-In growing closer in the most unexpected ways, whether it’s during intense battles where they must rely on each other or shared experiences that will test their trust and understanding.
At the end of the day, manhwa fans know that Jin-Woo and Cha Hae-In will become canon in Solo Leveling. There will be no other girl worthy of receiving Jin-Woo's affections other than Cha Hae-In, despite the possible debut of yet another love interest in Season 3. Any new love interest may add tension or drama, but Jin-Woo's heart, body, mind, and soul will forever belong to Cha Hae-In, whether fans like it or not.
