Of course, what fans want to see most right now is Solo Leveling Season 3. Solo Leveling Season 3 has not been officially confirmed yet, especially with talk of there being a movie sequel, but fans are still hopeful. Regardless, Solo Leveling recently revealed the trailer for their next project, Solo Leveling Karma, and the trailer revealed a major detail, that is, the death of Go Gun-hee. This death was a major shock to the fans, and when it is shown in the anime, it will be the most heart-wrenching death of the entire series.
Solo Leveling Karma Reveals The Death Of Go Gun-hee
Solo Leveling Karma is the biggest upcoming project for the Solo Leveling franchise. While Solo Leveling already has two video games, they will pale in comparison to Solo Leveling Karma. Fans know that Solo Leveling Karma is about to expand the lore of the series’ 27 Year Monarchs war, which is certainly going to be very exciting.
To promote this game, a fully animated trailer was recently revealed. While very exciting, the trailer was full of spoilers of events that haven’t yet unfolded in the anime. Fans were especially shocked to see the death of Go Gun-hee.
Go Gun-hee is the beloved chairman of the Hunter Association of South Korea. He has grown greatly on fans, and they're not yet ready to see Sung Jinwoo part ways with him. His death will be extremely tragic to witness.
The Death of Go Gun-hee Should Take Place In Solo Leveling Season 3
As of right now, Solo Leveling season 3 hasn't yet been confirmed. Instead of Solo Leveling Season 3, it seems the studio has a movie in the plans. With both the movie and Season 3 covering canon events of the manhwa, fans know for a fact that Go Gun-hee’s death will unfold soon. However, given the longer length of the seasons, the death appearing in Solo Leveling Season 3 makes more sense.

It's certainly going to be a very tragic event, and one that will break their heart. In the battle against the powerful Monarchs, many characters will put their lives on the line, and Go Gun-hee is no different. Unfortunately, the story isn't as kind to him as some other characters.
The Biggest Death in the Series Alongside Sung Il-Hwan
Go Gun-hee is considered by many to be the biggest and most tragic death of the Solo Leveling series. What makes this blow worse is the fact that Jinwoo will be unable to save him. Never even think of coming close to my family. — Sung Il Hwan to Hwang Dongsoo
The only death that comes close to Go Gun-hee is that of Sung Il-Hwan, Sung Jinwoo’s father. Sung Il-Hwan will die later, and his loss will also be tragic for both the fans as well as Sung Jinwoo in the future of Solo Leveling.
Solo Leveling has 25 episodes available to watch right now, split over two major seasons, the most recent of which wrapped up in 2025. The series can be streamed on Crunchyroll. There have been no major announcements about a third season so far. Fans can get more Solo Leveling content via the Manhwa.
