This article contains spoilers from the Solo Leveling manhwa.
Solo Leveling has been very exciting so far, all thanks to Sung Jin-Woo's efforts to evolve from the most pathetic hunter to the strongest in just a short amount of time. Anime fans appreciate his compelling story, as each fight Jin-Woo dominates brings a feeling of satisfaction and excitement, making Solo Leveling a must-watch action and power fantasy anime more than anything else.
Behind Jin-Woo's rise to power, some characters also earned the interest of fans. One of them is Cha Hae-In, who is set for a much bigger role in the next installments of the series. In fact, Cha Hae-In is expected to betray a character close to her just for Sung Jin-Woo in Solo Leveling Season 3. If her behavior isn’t a sign that she’s in love with Jin-Woo, then it’s hard to imagine what it is.
Cha Hae-In Is Ready to Abandon Choi Jong-In in Solo Leveling Season 3
Cha Hae-In Is Willing to Switch Guilds for Jin-Woo
- Cha Hae-In applies to Jin-Woo's guild.
- Cha Hae-In doesn't mind leaving Choi Jong-In for Jin-Woo.
The Hunters Guild is said to be the number one hunter guild in all of Korea, with the Ultimate Soldier, Choi Jong-In, leading its members. Next to Choi Jong-In is Cha Hae-In, who citizens acknowledge as the Vice-Master, in addition to her graceful moniker, The Dancer. She is highly respected in the Hunters Guild, considering her S-rank status and exceptional combat prowess.
Like any hunter guild, Choi Jong-In's guild also enters into a contract with powerful female hunters like Cha Hae-In, securing her loyalty and guaranteeing that her exceptional skills serve the guild’s interests. In exchange, the Hunters Guild pays Cha Hae-In a generous salary and provides access to the best weapons, equipment, training, and other resources, ensuring she can fight at the peak of her abilities.
Despite this, Cha Hae-In is more than willing to abandon the Hunters Guild and join Sung Jin-Woo's newly established guild called Ahjin. For Cha Hae-In, her admiration and curiosity for Sung Jin-Woo outweigh the prestige, fame, money, and security of the Hunters Guild, making the decision to join Ahjin a matter of both heart and conviction. Unfortunately, this is a suspicious move for Jin-Woo.
Cha Hae-In Wants to Be With Sung Jin-Woo
Cha Hae-In Is Already in Love With Jin-Woo
Cha Hae-In is not the only female hunter who attempted to fight by Jin-Woo's side and earn his protection and attention. Park Hee-Jin of the White Tiger Guild once tried to convince Jin-Woo to join her, not because she has feelings for him, but because she feels extremely safe with Jin-Woo by her side. The only difference is that Cha Hae-In is driven by both security and personal attachment.
Cha Hae-In is willing to leave the Hunters Guild and join Jin-Woo in the Ahjin Guild mainly because she wants to stay by his side. For that, she is ready to resign from her post and even pay the penalty, no matter how expensive it is, fully committing herself to Jin-Woo and the Ahjin Guild. She has already planned her transition and even prepared penalties, making it clear that nothing, not even Choi Jong-In, will stop her from leaving.
Why are you going to such lengths to join our guild? —Sung Jin-Woo to Cha Hae-In
Understandably, having Jin-Woo as Cha Hae-In's guild master means more protection and attention for her. She no longer needs to find an excuse to talk with Jin-Woo, fight with him, and spend time with him once she becomes an official member. It’s also easier for her to know Jin-Woo at a deeper level, observe his powers, and understand the burdens he carries as the strongest hunter in Korea.
Jin-Woo Still Has the Final Say
Cha Hae-In Isn’t the Third Member of Ahjin Guild
Unfortunately, Jin-Woo isn’t the type of person who would bring a strike team with him during a dungeon raid. He prefers to go dungeon crawling alone, as he needs to farm experience points as quickly as possible to prepare himself for stronger opponents. Bringing a strike team only means he would have to share experience points, and that becomes a problem.
That said, Jin-Woo doesn’t want an active hunter to join Ahjin Guild. While he’s fine with Yoo Jin-Ho by his side, he has no need for someone like Cha Hae-In to become Ahjin Guild’s third and final member. Instead, he’s looking for a low-profile hunter who has zero interest in hunter activities, someone who can allow him to operate without distractions. This is bad news for Cha Hae-In, but it also means she must find another way to stay close to Jin-Woo in Solo Leveling.
