More likely, a 2 to 3 three year wait could be in store for all the fans. Solo Leveling is a series that lives off the hype, and interest in the series will eventually wane. Fans might just move on soon, and the studio knows that.
On the other hand, a rushed release could also be bad for the series, if not worse. One of Solo Leveling’s biggest appeal is its stylish and fluid animation — something that takes a lot of time to be delivered properly. A quick release of Solo Leveling shouldn't even be an option, but if it were to happen, it would spell doom for the entire franchise and effectively kill it. Many big series have been ruined by a singular bad season, and fans don’t want Solo Leveling to be the next victim of that.
When Should Solo Leveling Season 3 Drop?

With Solo Leveling Season 3 not even having been confirmed officially confirmed yet, no one really knows when it will be released. Realistically, Solo Leveling Season 3 could drop anytime between late 2026 and 2028.
One of the producers, Atsushi Kaneko, has previously stated that a 2028 release would be preferable for the amount of work that has to be put into Solo Leveling Season 3, and he might definitely be right. Ideally,
“I think more than anyone, I am anxiously awaiting a Season 3! But in truth, between Season 1 and Season 2, 220,000 frames of animation were created. So, if it were up to me, I’d say let’s wait until the next Olympics a 2027 release date would keep all the fans satisfied.
(2028) to see what’s going to happen with Season 3. But I think that’s more up to Kaneko and A-1 Pictures.”
