Mitchel Berger Confirms The Big News
Solo Leveling has been all the hype in the anime community, sweeping the vast majority of Crunchyroll awards this year. An anime this successful won’t happen every day, and the studio working on it knows that. However, there is still a lot that fans don’t know about the future of the series. But, there is some good news coming out for the series now.
Solo Leveling Season 1 and Season 2 were both huge successes, and as many know, they were both available on Crunchyroll. Until now, fans had no idea if Season 3 of the series would also be streamed on Crunchyroll, but they finally have an answer. Mitchel Berger, who is the Head of Theatrical and Distribution of Crunchyroll, said the following:
“We just concluded Season 2, which did really well for us, so I'm sure there will be more content in the future. We're not sure exactly when, but it will be here and fans will continue to see the story."
When Will Solo Leveling Season 3 Release?
The Release Date Is Unknown, But It Might Come Out In 2026
So far, there has been no confirmed release date for Solo Leveling Season 3, but there has been some speculation.
Recently, one of the producers made a comment, saying he’d like to wait until the next Olympics. Some fans have taken this comment to refer to the Winter Olympics, which will take place in the next year, 2026. If Solo Leveling Season 3 comes out in 2026, it would maintain the pattern of one season per year, and would definitely please many fans. But, the question is whether they can manage to maintain the quality with such short release schedules.
Here's the exact comment from the producer, Sota Furahashi:
“I think more than anyone, I am anxiously awaiting a Season 3! But in truth, between Season 1 and Season 2, 220,000 frames of animation were created. So, if it were up to me, I’d say let’s wait until the next Olympics to see what’s going to happen with Season 3. But I think that’s more up to Kaneko and A-1 Pictures.”
Fans definitely can’t wait for a final, official release date. Hopefully, in the upcoming months, things will be clearer.
