Solo Leveling is known for being hyper-focused on its protagonist, Sung Jinwoo. His journey of incredible growth and subsequent ascension as the greatest hunter has struck a chord with countless fans all over the world. However, the story also introduces quite a few other interesting characters, who, despite not being given as much screen time as they deserve, have left a lasting impression on the fans.

However, the characters who tend to make an impact are overpowered S-rankers or National Level Hunters. But this might change in Solo Leveling Season 3 as an A-ranker gets the spotlight that he deserves.

Woo Jinchul made his first noteworthy appearance just after the Double Dungeon disaster. He was entrusted with the responsibility to verify whether Jinwoo had undergone a reawakening, but after a mana test, he concluded that it was possibly a false alarm. He later ran into Sung again after Kang Taeshik was killed and even warned him that S-ranker Hwang Dongsoo was going to come after him.

However, Jinchul's most defining moment came in the Red Gate arc. He stepped in to ensure that a disaster was averted by stopping Baek Yonhoo and Dongsoo from fighting each other. Despite being just an A-ranker, he showed immense courage to put his life on the line to calm the two S-rankers who were just moments away from exchanging blows.

Over the last few arcs, Woo has made quite a few appearances and has impressed fans with his level-headed thinking and leadership qualities. He has been associated with the Korean Hunters Association for a while and has played a crucial role in its management. But his role in the story is far from over.

In Solo Leveling Season 3, almost every hunter organization will go through a crisis or a major shift in leadership. Following a few unexpected events, the Korean Hunters Association will be forced to look beyond Go Gunhee for a new leader. That's when Woo Jinchul will lead a meeting with other leaders in the management to decide who is worthy of succeeding Gunhee.

To his surprise, his colleagues will argue that Jinchul is the best fit for the role. He has worked as Go's right-hand man and has years of experience under his belt. Furthermore, he is arguably the closest person to Sung Jinwoo in the Korean Hunters Association after Gunhee. Based on these factors, Woo will be voted as the next Chairman.

Although Jinchul will initially feel that he does not deserve the title, he will accept the offer and start leading the Korean Hunters Association. His ascension to power will have far-reaching consequences as the world gets riddled with chaos and uncertainty in the following months.

With these factors in mind, does Woo Jinchul's rise as the new Chairman make sense?

While some fans might have these doubts, which certainly have merits, it is important to understand that leading a hunter organization is not just about being strong. Leadership goes beyond just physical strength or an imposing stature. Woo Jinchul thrives when it comes to level-headed decision-making. He is also brilliant at people management and understands how to avoid unnecessary conflict.

As if these characteristics are already not impressive, his work with Go Gunhee makes him an ideal successor, as he understands how the previous Chairman used to operate. There is no other Korean hunter who even comes near his experience. Furthermore, he is also the only person who has personally been involved in Sung Jinwoo's journey at almost all critical moments. No one understands Jinwoo better than him.

As Korea's policy in the future hinges so much on Sung following his superhuman achievements, it makes sense that someone close to him becomes the leader. It appears that Jinchul is perfect for the job, but he has a serious challenge on his hands.

With the emergence of the Monarchs, the human world is set to be thrown into chaos, and Woo will have a responsibility to safeguard the Korean public interest. It remains to be seen if the A-ranker can punch above his weight and ensure that Korea does not suffer the consequences of an evil conspiracy.
