The latest 3D Sonic title from Sega is finally here, and for the fans out there that cannot wait to sink their teeth into Sonic Frontiers, this guide will go over the digital unlock times. Console (and PC) owners that have pre-ordered Sonic Frontiers on their favorite digital shopping platforms will need to wait until the official release time before they can actually start the game. It doesn't matter if someone paid more for the deluxe digital edition; everyone will gain access at the same time, at least in the west.
Release and Unlock Time for Sonic Frontiers
While SEGA has not officially come out to confirm the official release time for Sonic Frontiers, there are some expected unlock times from different sources that players can check out below:
PC/Steam Release Time
As confirmed via the Social Media Manager for the official Sonic Twitter account, the PC version of Sonic Frontiers will launch tonight at 9 PM PT / 12 AM ET.
PS4/PS5 Release Time
As confirmed via the countdown clock for Sonic Frontiers on the PlayStation Store, players should be able to hop into their digital copy at the same time as the Steam release: 9 PM PT / 12 AM ET.
Switch Release Time
As previously stated, Nintendo nor Sega have released information regarding the digital unlock times for Sonic Frontiers. However, according to the official Nintendo support page for new eShop titles, some third-party games won't be available to play until 12 PM PT on the title's release date. There's still a chance for Sonic Frontiers to launch at 9 PM PT tonight, so Switch players should cross their fingers.
Xbox Release Time
The Best War Games cannot currently confirm a release time for the Xbox version of Sonic Frontiers, but it should release around the same time as the PlayStation version: 9 PM PT tonight.
