Your randomly designated rival will likely be the biggest threat for 1st. Consider focusing on them with attack items.

This is the only time difficulty matters when unlocking something.
How To Unlock Mirror Sonic Speed Difficulty
- Win all 7 Grand Prix (excluding Secret and CrossWorld Grand Prix) to unlock.
Mirror Sonic Speed flips the tracks around. If a corner usually goes left, it will instead go right in this mode.
