Pre-registrations for Sonic Rumble have officially opened up, giving players a chance to get ready for the release of the 32-player mobile and PC battle royal game. Additionally, several pre-registration rewards for Sonic Rumble have been revealed, offering players skins and other goodies.
The upcoming multiplayer game, which has drawn some comparisons to Fall Guys, doesn't have an official release date yet, but it's expected to make its debut sometime during the 2024/2025 winter season, and some resources are using February 28, 2025 as a placeholder. Sonic, his friends, and even some of his enemies will be battling it out in the game, which is one of the first projects between Sega and Rovio, the developer behind the Angry Birds games, after the former acquired the latter in August 2023.

The official Sega website is spreading the news of the pre-registration campaign, along with a newly released trailer on the publisher's official YouTube channel. While fans have already praised Sonic Rumble for not including controversial gacha mechanics, the announcement on the website is trying to bump up pre-release hype for the game to an even greater level by offering rewards to anyone who gets in during the pre-registration period. Sonic Rumble will be available through Google Play, the App Store, and Steam, and the website includes links that will allow fans to pre-register on any of those platforms.

While it's not clear when fans will get their hands on the battle royal game, one hint in the official website's fine print indicates it may be before the end of the year, as "Movie Sonic will be obtainable for all users that have downloaded and played Sonic Rumble between the release of the game and 12/31/2025 (PDT)."
