Sony's Shuhei Yoshida, who had been the president of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios, had a funny response for a fan who asked where the PS5 is. Sony has opened the official PS5 site but it hasn't confirmed when the console is releasing or when it will reveal more games.

On Twitter, a fan named Ricks asked Yoshida "where is PS5?" Many would expect Yoshida not to respond to the tweet or to tell the fan to sign up for official announcements but he decided not to do that and to have a bit of fun with it. Yoshida response with an image confirming the PS4 and Nintendo Switch release date for Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikes, a new fighting game. The image for that game calls it "P5S" and it seems to be as close as fans are going to get to a PS5 announcement from Yoshida. It's not what what fans are looking for, but many seem to be enjoying Yoshida's joke and it has 163 retweets, 1K likes and many positive responses.

The tweet is likely just Yoshida having some fun, but some fans are taking it as some sort of tease for a major PS5 reveal event. Some fans are wondering if Sony could share more information about the console on February 20. There had been rumors that Sony was going to host a PS5 event where it would confirm the console's release date, launch titles, and more features but this hasn't been officially announced. Yoshida would be one of the main people to know when the event is taking place which is why a small number of fans are feeling excited.

The response to Yoshida's tweet just confirms how excited everyone is about the new console. Sony set a new record for the most liked gaming post on Instagram just by posting the official PS5 logo.

Many gamers have said that they are ready to buy the console though Godfall is the only PS5 game that has been confirmed. Fans seem to be holding onto anything that they can about the new console.

It's unclear when Sony will share more about the PS5 but it has confirmed that it won't be at E3 2020. In comparison, Microsoft has big plans for the event. That makes some sort of PS5 event before E3 more likely but it may not be on February 20.
