Saber Interactive has detailed its 2025 roadmap for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Since it was released in September 2024, 5 million players have dived into Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, making the third-person shooter one of Saber Interactive’s most popular titles to date.

Not wanting to rest on its laurels, Update 5 for Space Marine 2 was recently released across all platforms. It brought a raft of new features to the third-person shooter including a new Space Marine 2 Operation Obelisk and The Dark Angels Chapter Pack. As 2024 draws to a close, the developers at Saber Interactive have set out their 2025 roadmap for the game.

Outlining their plans on the Space Marine 2 blog, Saber Interactive has detailed numerous new game modes and champions players will be able to get their hands on in 2025. Changes to the PVP mode will be coming next year, and while the developers won’t divulge too much information at this point, they have confirmed a new map will be available that promotes more closed-quarters combat. PVE modes will also see adjustments as a new horde mode is set to be released. New Operations, enemies, and an expansion to Battle Barge will also be added to Space Marine 2 in 2025.

Gamers don’t just have new modes to look forward to, as it was also confirmed that new customizations will accompany a new Champion. A new sniper-class soldier is coming to Space Marine 2 in the form of a Salamander Champion in 2025. The team confirmed that the obvious choice for a sniper would have been the Raven Guard, but hinted at a different direction for the class.

As players wait for the updates to Space Marine 2, some in the community are busy adding their stamp to the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The Space Marine episode of Secret Level has been a hit with viewers since it was released on Amazon Prime, with players requesting Saber Interactive to officially add it to the game.

While the community will appreciate Saber Interactive sharing its 2025 plans for Space Marine 2, some fans may find it disappointing that the roadmap doesn’t include any firm dates for the content drops. This is likely due to the developers covering themselves against any unexpected delays, but recent data suggests that Saber Interactive is planning to support Space Marine 2 into 2026.
