Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have once again teased Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2's upcoming 5.0 Patch. The previous 4.5 update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 added the Neo-Volkite Pistol and addressed issues.
In a past community update, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment confirmed that the long-awaited Dark Angels Chapter Pack for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will finally arrive in December alongside a new Majoris enemy type, the Tzaangor Enlightened, and the Operations map Obelisk. Details regarding the bundle and even more future Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 content have recently been revealed online.
Patch 5.0 for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is scheduled to drop within the first half of December, according to a new community update from Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment. Its associated Dark Angels Chapter Pack will feature a unique armor set and banner for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2's Bulwark class called the Dark Angels Champion. Skins for the Auto Bolt Rifle, Plasma Pistol, and Power Sword that are based on Lion El'Jonson's iconic Astartes chapter are coming as well.

The latest community update noted that the pack will include the heraldries of eight Dark Angels Second Founding and successor chapters, namely the Angels of Absolution, the Angels of Defiance, the Angels of Redemption, the Angels of Vengeance, the Blades of Vengeance, the Bringers of Judgement, the Cowled Wardens, and the Unnamed. Moreover, there will be new unlockable armor pieces tied to the chapter bundle, such as a version of the Mark 8 Space Marine helmet that features the sigil of the Dark Angels' elite Ravenwing company. Supposed leaks have suggested that even older helmet patterns will come to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 someday.
Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment revealed that the 5.0 update will also bring official support for DLSS Frame Generation and FSR3. Player customization in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is set to be expanded as well with the arrival of colored lenses. The third-person shooter is currently being optimized for Sony's recently released PlayStation 5 Pro, according to its latest community update.
Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have announced that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has managed to attract five million players since launching in September. The title’s main character, Demetrian Titus, will also be featured in an episode of Amazon's Secret Level anthology series that is scheduled to air on December 10. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has also received two The Game Awards 2024 nominations under the Best Multiplayer and Best Action Game categories.
