How to Add Friends in Spectre Divide

Playing with your friends can provide you with many advantages during the rounds, as your team will have proper communication and be able to formulate tactics between themselves. However, before entering the matchmaking procedure with your friends, you must first add them in-game.

Adding friends in Spectre Divide is a simple process and requires you to use the Steam Community feature. To add your friends, follow these steps:

  1. Enter the game’s main menu.
  2. You will find the social icon beside the Settings option in the top right corner of your screen. Click on the social icon, and it will open the social menu.
  3. Go to the ‘Invites’ section.
  4. Click on ‘Add Friends,’ and it will open the Steam community pop-up menu.
  5. You will find the 'Add Friend' icon beside the search bar on the tab below your profile name. Click on the icon to open the Steam community’s add friend menu.
  6. In the first part, you will find ‘Your Friend Code,’ which your friends need in order to add you. You can also use your teammate’s Friend Code to add them. Ask them to find their friend code following a similar process and share it with you.
  7. Once you have their friend code, copy and paste it in the empty box that reads, ‘Enter a friend code.’ Entering the current friend code will display your friend’s Steam profile, where you can add them directly.
  8. You can also use the Quick Invite link to add your friends quickly. Each link will only work once and expire 30 days after being generated.
  9. If you cannot find your friend’s Friend Code, you can search for their profile using their username. However, this can take a long time, since other Steam users might have the same username as your friend.

How to Host a Lobby and Invite Friends

Once you are done adding your friends, you can start inviting them into your lobby before entering the matchmaking queues. A lobby can be created, and friends can be invited in two different ways.

Firstly, you can invite each friend directly to the lobby from the Friends tab. Go to the social menu, and under the Friends menu, you will be shown the list of friends currently online in the game.

You can also use the lobby code to invite players to join your lobby. Enter the social menu and click the ‘Invites’ option to get your lobby code. Below the ‘Action’ section of that menu, you will find the Lobby Code. Share this code with your friends so they can join your lobby directly. If you have a lobby code, you can find the option to join using the code in the same section. Click on that option, and enter the lobby code you want to join in the pop-up menu.
