6 The Final Swing Suit

Spider-Man's Glorious New Red and Blue Suit

First Appearance: Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

The most obvious and deserving suit that Spider-Man should wear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day is his final swing suit, the new red and blue that features towards the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home. This suit screams perfection with its glistening silk colors that shimmer in the moonlight as Spider-Man jumps across rooftops and swings through a snowy New York City.

The vibrant red and blue, paired with the beautiful texture of the suit, is a comic-accurate Spider-Man that fans have craved, and the fact that it’s homemade makes it even better since it finally separates the suit from the Tony Stark ideology that the previous incarnations had. The beauty of this suit deserves to be seen in live-action, so hopefully it’s not left behind.

Bring Forth the Secret Wars

First Appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #252 (May 1984)

Venom is one of the most beloved Spider-Man spin-off characters, and this lethal protector is desperately awaiting his arrival in the MCU. Whether the piece of Venom from Tom Hardy’s multiverse trip ends up finding Peter Parker, or a whole new origin is invented for the character, is anyone’s guess, but the Symbiote Suit is integral to the DNA of Spider-Man’s story in more recent years, and everyone’s eventually expecting Peter Parker to don the black suit.

Since the comics had Peter find the black suit in Secret Wars in Battleworld, now seems like the perfect time to bring in the suit and showcase Peter’s powers, providing an exciting build-up to a new trilogy where Peter’s powers are enhanced through the suit, and to him, all seems normal when he wears it. Alternatively, it might be a bit too early for the Symbiote Suit, but it would still be a fun tease for future MCU stories.

An Absolute Classic Costume for a Potential Classic Spidey Movie

There’s something so nostalgic about the logo of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, that it’s almost impossible not to think of perhaps the most iconic and nostalgic Spider-Man branding of them all. The early 2000s were dominated by Spider-Man merchandise with artwork from Scott Johnson, providing a design look and color for the red and blue Spider-Man.

With sharp and serious lenses, paired with a muscular toned suit that shows off every muscle and the vibrant red and blues, Scott Johnson’s design for Spider-Man could be a key inspiration in bringing back the nostalgic and cool feeling to Spider-Man when it’s time for the hero to hold his own outfit without the tech from Iron Man to do it, and this feel really does seem like a friendly neighborhood wall-crawler.

3 Spider-Armor Mk 1

An Armor to Showcase Peter Parker's Intellect and Resolve

First Appearance: Web of Spider-Man #100 (March 1993)

Peter Parker is never against using his intellect to craft some unique suits for when the situation arises, which is why the Spider-Armor Mk 1 would make for a great change from the usual Iron Spider outfit. Since the Iron Spider outfit has been destroyed and its reliance has been overplayed, it would be nice to see a new armor in the form of the Spider-Armor Mk 1.

This impressive suit, made of shiny chrome plating, helps Spider-Man fight fiercer combatants that use high-caliber firearms, and it could be just what he needs to fight street-level gangs and super criminals with powers that the suit can deflect and absorb.

When Peter Parker needed a superhero costume but was left at the Fantastic Four’s Baxter Building, he elected to use one of their spare suits with a paper bag over his head as a mask. This makeshift costume might be rather infamous in the comics for its ridiculous look, but there’s humor in its design that would warrant exploration in live-action, even if it was just for a moment.

The Bombastic Bagman suit is fun to look at, and it would be nice for Peter to have no access to his high-tech suits, and instead have to rely on a paper bag with makeshift holes to see, in an impressionable Fantastic Four outfit that further ties his bond to the heroes that hopefully return to the 616 universe with The Fantastic Four: The First Steps.

1 Scarlet Spider

A Great Way to Introduce the Complexity of the Clone Saga

First Appearance: Web of Spider-Man #118 (November 1994)

Sure, it might not be Peter Parker, and nor should he wear the suit, but it is vitally important to the character, especially during one of its most infamous arcs. Enter the Clone Saga, where Peter Parker’s perfect carbon copy emerges and shows a darker side to the wall-crawler in a makeshift outfit of a blue sweater and a crimson body suit. Introducing the Scarlet Spider provides the perfect tease for an imposter storyline, and shows just how wild that Spider-Man’s stories can get if they dared to enter the path of clones.

A sleeveless blue hoodie does look reminiscent of Spider-Man’s homemade suit from Spider-Man: Homecoming, and that could be the perfect synergy for a clone of Peter Parker starting out as a hero. So, why not finish with multiverse Spider-Men and begin a clone saga where Peter can fight his clones?
