Three teams compete for points in Splatoon 3 Splatfests, with each team representing a member of the idol group Deep Cut (Shiver, Frye, and Big Man). Splatfests are held almost every month, attracting hundreds of thousands of active Splatoon 3 players in the community. The previous Splatfest saw players compete on behalf of one of three instruments this past March, with Team Keyboard beating Team Drums and Team Guitar by a wide margin. Players who lost in the March 2024 Splatfest have a chance at redemption in the upcoming Spring Fest.

According to Nintendo's official Splatoon Twitter account, the next Splatoon 3 Splatfest (Spring Fest) asks players "Which fuzzy fluffiness do you like most?" With the options being "Baby Chicks," "Li'l Bunnies," and "Bear Cubs." From April 19 at 5 PM to April 21 at 5 PM PST, Splatoon 3 players will represent one of the three options in the seasonal Splatfest and compete in online matches to determine which one will win. This time, the Splatfest theme will be the same for all regions, including Japan. In addition, Nintendo reminds fans that spring-themed gear and a new seasonal banner can be claimed by visiting the Splatoon 3 channel on Nintendo Switch.
