The August 2024 Starchy Foods Splatfest in Splatoon 3 has ended, and Deep Cut's Frye has been named the victor. By claiming the top spot in four categories, Team Rice defeated Team Pasta by 200 points to take first place in the food-themed challenge, which was the penultimate Splatfest of Splatoon 3.

The Splatfests in Splatoon 3 are semi-monthly competitions based on themes that players can support alongside members of the Deep Cut band. After a Splatfest concludes, players who take part can earn cosmetic weapons and clothing for their characters, with the rewards based on the team's overall placement during the event. While the previous Splatoon games focused on two Splatfest teams, Splatoon 3 increased this to three to match the game's title. To date, Splatoon 3 has held 19 Splatfests, including popular seasonal Splatfests held every three to four months to align with the real-world changing of seasons.

Nearly a month after the Summer 2024 Splatfest, the August 2024 event in Splatoon 3 saw one team clear out the competition in most categories. The August 2024 Splatfest was themed around the starchy foods Bread, Rice, and Pasta, which were respectively backed by Deep Cut's Shiver, Frye, and Big Man. According to the results, Team Pasta took a halftime lead in the Clout category, with 33.72%. Team Rice took 33.45%, while Team Bread garnered 32.83% support. By winning four out of five categories during the Splatfest, Team Rice took the win with a tally of 460 points. Their victories came in Conch Shells, Votes, Clout (Open), and Tricolor Turf War, which was also Open. This means that Frye of Deep Cut scored her second victory in three Splatfests. Frye's previous win happened during the May 2024 Bucket List Splatfest.
