Version 10.0.0 for Splatoon 3 will be available on June 12, and it will bring 30 new weapon kits in the Splatlands Collection, which will consist of weapons from the Barazushi and Emberz brands. These weapons are based on previous ones already available in the game, but they have new looks and different subweapons and specials, so they may still surprise long-time players. Some major changes introduced in the update include being able to earn new badges, and the Freshness caps of all weapons being raised. A new stat called Series Weapon Power will be added to Splatoon 3, too, and will track how effective a player is per weapon based on their win/loss ratio. Apart from these changes, the new update will also feature Urchin Underpass, a classic stage from the first Splatoon, which was a fan favorite.

Splatoon 3 Version 10.0.0 Release Date

  • June 12, 2025

Specifically, for the recently released Nintendo Switch 2, Splatoon 3 will get a performance boost, with some areas becoming more detailed and boasting smoother framerates. Also, cross-play with gamers playing on the first Nintendo Switch will be supported.

Overall, 2025 has been a good year for the Splatoon community, with many updates for Splatoon 3. Earlier this week, the spin-off Splatoon Raiders was announced for the Switch 2, as well. The title still does not have an official release date, and not much is known about it. In one trailer shown by Nintendo, Deep Cut, a trio of characters introduced in Splatoon 3, are seen going to a place called Spirhalite Island, quickly becoming stranded there after a crash. Unfortunately, not many gameplay details have been revealed, so it’s still unknown how the gameplay will differ from Splatoon 3, but the project is still likely a good pick for gamers who love previous entries in the Splatoon franchise.
