The Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass has been available for purchase for a couple of months now (for $24.99), but the single-player content, Side Order, is available to play starting February 22, 2024. Players will work their way up the Spire, going through enemies floor by floor, using Color Chips to enhance their abilities. This mode is meant to be replayed, making it slightly different from Splatoon 3's regular story mode.
If you've purchased the DLC from the eShop already and are wondering how to start the Side Order DLC, here's a helpful guide.

How to Start Side Order DLC for Splatoon 3
Here's Where to Go
Of course, before you try to start Side Order, you must purchase the expansion pass for Splatoon 3 on the eShop. Once you do, make sure to check your game for updates. Before the content opens, you must download a patch for Splatoon 3.
Once you do that, all you need to do to start Side Order is head to the train station (if you're facing the lobby entrance, it's to the left). You can also open the menu with the X button and fast travel to the train station. There will be two options to choose from: Inkopolis Plaza and Inkopolis Square. Choose Inkopolis Square to start the Side Order story.
The area will be void of color, and a mysterious tower called the Spire has appeared, where you'll enter to fight baddies on multiple floors.
You'll wake up as Agent Eight and will get to customize several features for your character, such as their skin color, hair style, eye color, and more. You'll soon be introduced to Pearl's new form and can start the new single-player content. You'll start with one type of weapon and one Color Chip for your Palette. But the more floors you complete, the more chips you'll collect, turning Agent Eight into a powerhouse. Of course, as you get stronger, so will the enemies.
