Split Fiction has been racking up impressive numbers, including in livestreaming, where it beat It Takes Two viewership numbers on its release week. Since Split Fiction's release earlier this month, countless streamers, including EA itself, have been broadcasting gameplay of the cooperative game, drawing in millions of viewers eager to follow the adventures of Zoe and Mio.
Split Fiction is the latest game from visionary director Josef Fares, the founder of Hazelight Studios and winner of the 2021 Game of the Year Awards with It Takes Two. Not only has the co-op puzzle game earned a score of 90 on aggregate sites like OpenCritic, marking the first time in over 13 years that an EA-published title reached such a score, but Split Fiction also sold 2 million units in just two weeks. Its success didn't stop there, as new reports indicate the game is earning impressive numbers in other areas of the industry, including livestreaming.
Split Fiction: Best Easter Eggs

During its launch week, from March 6 to March 12, Split Fiction accumulated over 8,700,000 hours watched across streaming platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, and Steam. While most Twitch and YouTube streams were hosted by individual creators, on Steam the broadcasts were led by "streamingonsteam," EA Games' official channel, which reruns content from various streamers, including those on Twitch and YouTube.
