The release date for the anime has already been confirmed, so the latest announcement is related to a teaser for the third season of the anime.

It makes sense for the anime to release a teaser as the third season is going to be released in October 2025, which is not too far now. Spy x Family Season 3's episode count is unconfirmed, but it's likely to be around 20 episodes. The second season had a much lower count, as it was released just a year after the first. The studios need time to produce the anime, and one year isn't nearly enough to finish 20-odd episodes.

However, there is a considerable gap between the second and third seasons, which increases the likelihood of the new season having more than 20 episodes. The count can still be low if the studios decide to only adapt a couple of arcs, in which case having fewer episodes would be the preferred way.
