How to Get the Journalist Stash Near Northern Checkpoint in Stalker 2

The Journalist Stashes are a part of the quest "Seek, and You Shall Find," which players unlock after completing a few starting missions in Zalissya and looking into their personal stash afterward. The Journalist Stash near the Northern checkpoint is close to the Zalissya base and holds a special variant of the Viper SMG, which is an amazing starting weapon that packs a major punch.

However, upon entering the compound where the stash is located, players will notice it's on top of a building and there's no way to reach it. However, here are the detailed steps to help you reach the Journalist Stash near Northern Checkpoint in Stalker 2.

  1. Enter the compound near the Northern Checkpoint and head into the warehouse. Keep an eye out for tripwires as they'll trigger an explosion.
    1. As an optional objective, you can go up the rusted staircase to your right to confront Leshy.
    2. After defeating Leshy, players can get their hands on an early sniper rifle called "SVDM-2" which needs to be repaired.
    3. You'll also find loot on his body and some medkits lying on the platform. Once you're done, go down the stairs.
  2. Go right into the other section of the warehouse until you come out in the open.
  3. From here, go around the building to the right, and you'll spot a ladder going up the building.
  4. Climb the ladder to reach the top of the warehouse.
  5. From here, go forward and descend another ladder until you can reach the roof of the building with the Journalist Stash.

After opening the Journalist Stash near Nothern Checkpoint, players will be able to get their hands on the Viper "Monolith," a special SMG that can be used and equipped immediately. After attaching a scope mount to it from a technician, players will be able to go on a rampage with this weapon in Stalker 2.
