Pripyat is one of the late-game locations in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which has a ton of locations to discover and mysteries to unravel. One of the locations in Pripyat is the River Port, which is an abandoned dock area. Although there's nothing special in the location, besides some helpful loot scattered around, there's a locked door on the other side. There's a stash behind the River Port locked door that holds valuable loot.
Stalker 2: How To Get The Unique Texan Shotgun
Shotguns are strong weapons in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and you can get a unique variant of the Ram-2 called Texan in the Jupiter region.
How to Open the River Port Locked Door in Pripyat
Players can find the River Port POI in the eastern part of the Pripyat region of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The location is just northeast of the Energetik Palace of Culture base. Once you approach the River Port from the front, you'll notice weird anomalous lights in the main glass building.
Go through the main building and enter the back hall of the River Port to find locked double doors. If you stand close to the doors, you'll hear weird mutant sounds coming from inside. However, there's also a stash inside that you'll get nice rewards from. Here's what you need to do.
Opening the River Port Locked Door
Once you're standing in front of the River Port locked door, equip a grenade. The door is actually blocked with a couple of wooden planks, so a grenade blast should break open the door.
You can either aim the grenade throw at the bottom of the door so it will glitch through it and go to the other side. Alternatively, you can chuck the grenade inside the gap in the wall above the door to throw it at the other side. Either way, the door will blast open, revealing the mutant which was making the noise.
Eliminating the Chimera Mutant
Once the doors open, the Chimera will rush towards the players. Quickly get out of the way and get ready to fight the mutant. The best strategy here is to lure the Chimera out into the open area and fight it there.
Either use a shotgun or an assault rifle with a grenade launcher to quickly eliminate the Chimera mutant in Stalker 2.
Taking the Loot in the Stash
After the Chimera is down, return to the door and enter the little room to find a backpack stash hanging in the corner. Once you open the stash, you'll get the following items.
- Lead Container Blueprint for Shield of Duty Exosuit
- Bandages and Medkits
- Ammo
- Food and various other consumables
