Essences in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor allow players to increase their health and force meters, as well as granting them new perks, abilities, and skill points. In order to find these essences in the Basalt Forest, they must first search high and low throughout on their journey to activate the Forest Array during the Fallen Jedi main quest.

This guide will show players how to get every essence in the Basalt Forest area of Koboh in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, covering areas like the Chamber of Reason, the Forest Array, the Bilemaw Den, and the Rehabilitation Wing.

Chamber of Reason

The Chamber of Reason is found in the Basalt Rift, near the Mogu Den, and has one essence.

Essence 1 of 1 - Dexterity

This unique perk is obtained by successfully completing the puzzle in the Chamber of Reason. After taking the orb to the second level, place it in the coupler across the bridge to reach the shrine with this essence.

Forest Array

The Forest Array is at the end of the Basalt Rift, accessed during the main quest, and has two essences.

Essence 1 of 2 – Skill Point

After being pushed off the metal grate by the large winged creature a little while into exploring the Array, fight the Mogu on the bridge and head around the building. Drop down to the right to land on a beam from which Cal can use his Ascension Cable to get under the bridge. Climb on the grate above to reach the essence across the gap.

Essence 2 of 2 – Fortification

Unable to cross the gap to the Stormtrooper, cut through the forest, and enter the cave on the right. Jumping to the building understructure, follow the platform around and swing across the poles to reach this essence on a ledge.
