Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has a game-breaking bug that can prevent gamers from continuing their playthroughs. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor came out in April 2023 for current-gen consoles and PC, although its launch has been anything but smooth.
This article will have some SPOILERS for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Fans have reported running into various problems in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, especially on PC, which has resulted in the game getting flooded with negative reviews on Steam. Users have experienced all sorts of issues with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor including frame rate drops and other optimization problems, but many players have praised the game underneath. Now, it looks like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has a huge game-breaking bug that can prevent consumers from playing any further.
As discovered by a Reddit user named RequiredTraining, players can trigger a game-breaking bug in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor under specific circumstances. Without going into any major spoilers, RequiredTraining states that this bug can occur during a difficult boss fight in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor that takes place over two phases. As RequiredTraining found out, it’s possible for players and the boss to die simultaneously, which unfortunately results in the opponent spawning with infinite health.
According to RequiredTraining, users will be unable to backtrack, fast-travel, or complete this battle if they happen to die at the same time as the boss, requiring them to wait for a patch that fixes the issue. The player suggests that gamers should restart the fight in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor if they have low health, as it only seems to trigger when both combatants die simultaneously. Thankfully, EA appears to be aware of this bug, confirming that it should be fixed by early next week.
Fans should note that this game-breaking bug in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is separate from a different bug that was discovered closer to launch. In this case, once players complete an area titled the Chamber of Duality and exit via a nearby elevator, they are advised to meditate at the nearest available site. Should users die without meditating, this bug will spawn them back inside the chamber without any way to continue the story, forcing them to restart the game.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor received positive reviews upon its launch, as it currently sits at a Metacritic score of 86 for the PS5 version. However, its release has been marked by a series of issues, with this game-breaking bug being the latest addition to this list.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
