Kay has many tools available to her that help her in many ways in Star Wars Outlaws. Many of these tools are tied to experts that she will have to find and meet, learning new tricks of the trade while also opening up that expert as a skill tree to get new abilities and bonuses from.

One tool players will see the need for before getting is the Slicer Kit, which is an advanced hacking tool that will let Kay hack things she previously couldn't. Getting the Slicer Kit is tied to the Slicer Expert; here's how to find and unlock them.

Underworld Rumors Expert Intel Guide

When trying to unlock the Slicer, players will first get the expert intel guide Underworld Rumors. To get this intel chain completed, you'll first need to head to Makal's Gambling Parlor in Mirogana. Once inside, head to the back left side of the bar where you'll be able to lean and listen to the two people talking behind you. You'll then need to get to the very back section of the Crimson Dawn territory in town.

Depending on your reputation with them, you may be able to walk right up to or at least close to the contact, though they are located on the back landing bad which can't be reached with the same reputation as getting through the rest of their territory. If needed, sneaking around the right side of the landing pad will get you to the contact without having to deal with any guards. Talking to the informant will complete this expert intel and begin The Slicer expert quest.

How To Get The Slicing Kit In Star Wars Outlaws

To get the Slicing Kit, players will need to complete the expert quest The Slicer, with the unlocking of this expert rewarding the Slicing Kit. This quest is fairly straightforward and only has three major objectives.

Steal the Code Sequencer
Meet With Aila
Disable the anti-air defenses

The Code Sequencer is dropped by one of the officers at the Imperial Outpost marked on the map. With the Sequencer in hand, players will need to sneak into the Imperial Base and meet with Aila before helping her escape. The first part of this mission can be done loud or using stealth. The garage for the base is the first building to the right of the entrance, and once inside and the antenna is hacked, the turrets will help make the rest of the mission a breeze.
