Star Wars Outlaws has an expansive world for you to explore as you take control of Kay Vess and embark on a quest across the galaxy with your trusty sidekick, Nix. There's more to do than just completing missions, as you can take part in an abundance of additional activities like gambling on Fathier races and participating in class arcade games.
For players looking to complete their trophy/achievement lists, taking part in the many extracurriculars in Star Wars Outlaws is essential to doing so. If you, like many others, are finding it challenging to earn a high score in an arcade game, you may benefit from this guide on how to complete the There Is No Try trophy in Star Wars Outlaws.
All Major Choices and Consequences in Star Wars Outlaws
Players will need to make a lot of big choices in Star Wars Outlaws, many of which will have an impact on Kay's relationship with the game's factions.
How To Get The "There Is No Try" Trophy In Star Wars Outlaws
Those looking to earn the elusive PlayStation platinum trophy or to complete their Xbox achievement list will need to test their skills in one of Star Wars Outaws' two different arcade games. These games can be found in any major city throughout the game and are easy to spot, as they are in the form of a classic game system you'll find in a real-world arcade. There are two different games to choose from: Raven 6, which is a space shooting game, and Runner, which is a fast-paced game that requires players to dodge obstacles by changing running lanes.
To complete the There Is No Try trophy/achievement, players will need to beat the high score in either Raven 6 or Runner, which may prove a greater challenge than some may first anticipate. While there doesn't seem to be a trick to Runner (we'll update this article if that changes), meaning you really have to just practice and rely on your reflexes, there is a mechanic in Raven 6 that isn't explained. With this hidden feature, your journey to the top of the leaderboard will be that much easier, so we recommend trying to beat Raven 6's high score.
How To Beat The Raven 6 High Score In Star Wars Outlaws
Once you wrap your head around the controls and the right strategy for overcoming Raven 6, players will find that exceeding the desired high score of 27,800 is far more achieveable than first thought. Although these may seem obvious to most, there are a few things to bear in mind when playing a round:
- Hit as many ships as you can.
- Try to destroy all ships in a group.
- Avoid getting hit by asteroids at all costs, so destroy them early.
With these tips in mind, you'll likely get a very respectable score, but it is the hidden feature you need to make use of to topple the scoring leader. After you destroy a certain number of ships, you will hear a vocal cue and notice that the small rectangle at the bottom of the screen is filled. Once this meter is full, players can press the L1/LB button to initiate a more powerful attack that will clear the screen of all ships and asteroids. You will get around 3–4 opportunities to use this skill, depending on how many ships you destroy on your run.
You will need some time after using the super attack to refill the meter, so when you feel you are getting close to the final screen, make sure to save the ability for then. Using this attack when the screen is full of ships during their final wave is the critical point that will mean the difference between a new high score and missing out.
Once you have completed the run with a high score, you will automatically be notified of your achievement.
