There are a few planets that Kay Vess and her sidekick Nix can explore in Star Wars Outlaws, all of which offer unique biomes and a host of challenges. To overcome everything the galaxy has to offer the protagonist, she needs to remain equipped for survival.

One sure-fire way to give Kay the best chance of seeing the end of her Star Wars Outlaws journey is to stock up on Bacta vials, which are crucial resources for healing her wounds. To increase her carrying capacity to the maximum, players will benefit from unlocking the Outlaw's Pouch ability, so knowing how to get Elastic Durafiber Fabric in Star Wars Outlaws is important to achieving this.

How To Unlock The Outlaw's Pouch In Star Wars Outlaws

Elastic Durafiber Fabric from Star Wars Outlaws

The Outlaw's Pouch is one of many upgrades you can get early in your Star Wars Outlaws playthrough, and is a direct improvement over the Scoundrel's Pouch, which is a requirement before you can unlock the Outlaw's. Just like other expert abilities, you will need to collect the necessary materials to put the item together and make use of its benefits. To craft the Outlaw's Pouch, Kay will require:

Upgrading to the Scoundrel's Pouch is a mission of its own, but, thankfully, the rest of the items required for the Outlaw's Pouch aren't particularly hard to come by. Both Coarseweave and Polycarbonate can be found as lootable items in many common areas of the game, particularly around Toshara. Additionally, most standard merchants will have at least two or three of each item in stock, if you would prefer to simply purchase it. Elastic Durafiber Fabric, however, is a little tougher to get your hands on, as you need to locate a rather elusive vendor.

How To Get Elastic Durafiber Fabric In Star Wars Outlaws

Unlike some of the other Expert upgrades Kay can acquire, such as the Smoke Bomb, getting your hands on the key component to the Outlaw's Pouch won't require you to infiltrate a base, complete any puzzles, or traverse tough terrain. In saying that, it may require you to go on somewhat of a wild good chase across the four main systems in the game.

To get Elastic Durafiber Fabric, players will need to purchase it from the traveling merchant, Shuma. While this sounds quite simple in theory, the difficulty lies in working out where the merchant has set up their shop. When talking to the character, you will find out that the shopkeeper sells goods on a great many planets, and is constantly on the move. Thankfully, we've found the four key locations of this merchant, so you can at least have an idea of where Shuma likely is. The merchant can be found in the following locations:

  • Tattooine - At Toche Station to the south of the Wayfar landing zone, which is the first area you explore when you first arrive on the planet.
  • Akiva - In the village of Sashin, which is to the far north of your initial landing area on the planet, in the northern half of the settlement and tucked in to the right. Once you discover this village, it will become a fast travel point.
  • Toshara - At the southern point of Typhon's Rock, which is south-east of the Jaunta's Hope landing pad.
  • Kijimi - In Ridge Terrace in Kijimi City, in the easternmost point of the settlement.

Once you've found Shuma, you can purchase the Elastic Durafiber Fabric for 1,260 credits. If you already have the other components, then this will allow you to craft the Outlaw's Pouch and maximize Kay's Bacta vial and grenade carrying capacity.
