Star Wars Outlaws A Pirate's Fortune DLC Gives First Look at Gameplay

The latest DLC expansion for Star Wars Outlaws, entitled A Pirate's Fortune, receives a brand new trailer that reveals a bit of gameplay.

Continuing this trend, the Swedish studio has now debuted Title Update 1.6, which rolled out to all versions of Star Wars Outlaws on Thursday, May 15. Among the highlights of this release is a new set of cosmetics inspired by the Disney+ show Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. As per usual, this freebie pack is claimable by interacting with a delivery crate in the Trailblazer.

Star Wars Outlaws Update 1.6 Brings Several Gameplay Enhancements

The new patch also introduces several gameplay changes, like allowing Kay to free-fire her blaster while riding the speeder in Star Wars Outlaws. Massive Entertainment added the ability to seamlessly switch between two-handed weapons and the blaster, with the former now also being holsterable. Meanwhile, the Trailblazer became even more customizable, supporting a greater variety of passive systems that unlock additional effects.

Another novelty included in this update arrives in the form of expanded space contracts. The new missions span multiple types of challenges, with their addition promising to make the process of earning credits and faction reputation in Star Wars Outlaws a bit more varied. Multiple bug fixes are part of the package as well, resolving issues with enemy AI, intel quests, NPC behavior, and Speeder movement, among other elements of the game. The developers also rebalanced the Crimson Reign gear set, giving it a small buff in the form of a reduced Stun Shot cooldown that increases proportionally with each enemy caught within any variant of the Smoke Bomb.

Title Update 1.6 is now available on all platforms and should be downloaded automatically on any system with sufficient free storage for its installation. As per usual, the size of the new patch varies by platform, with the PC version of the game distributed via Ubisoft Connect being the largest, at 10.21 GB. Its Steam counterpart is slightly more compressed, weighing 8.5 GB, while the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the update are 6.17 GB and 8.55 GB in size, respectively. The 1.6 patch arrived alongside the latest Star Wars Outlaws story DLC, A Pirate's Fortune, which is now available for $14.99.
