Players can pick up and use a wide variety of weapons in Star Wars Outlaws, but they'll only have access to one permanent firearm during their playthrough. Thankfully, Kay's blaster is incredibly versatile, with an excellent selection of modules and configurations for players to choose from.
All Major Choices and Consequences in Star Wars Outlaws
Players will need to make a lot of big choices in Star Wars Outlaws, many of which will have an impact on Kay's relationship with the game's factions.
Initially, they'll only be able to use plasma, but as the events of the game unfold, they'll be able to upgrade the blaster and unlock powerful new firing modes and configurations. Every blaster upgrade in Star Wars Outlaws has its uses, although some are a lot more useful than others.
How to Upgrade Kay's Blaster in Star Wars Outlaws
Players will gain the ability to upgrade Kay's blaster after unlocking the False Flag main story quest, after which, they'll be able to upgrade the blaster by visiting the workbench on the Trailblazer. There are three modules available (Plasma, Ion, and Power), each of which has two or three different configurations. With the exception of the Heavy configuration for the Plasma module, which is tied to one of the game's experts, the materials needed for every new module and configuration are unlocked automatically simply by progressing through the main story
When it comes to upgrades, most of the materials that players need can be found scattered randomly throughout the Galaxy, although this isn't always the case. Some can only be purchased from the exclusive stock section of syndicate-affiliate merchants, which requires Kay to have a good or excellent reputation with the merchant's faction. Players will need a unique key part to craft the final upgrade for each configuration, although these can be tracked fairly easily through the journal or the Requirement Details menu.
