Power Book Behind the East Fence
The Alleyway Buffet is one of the 19 Power Books in Stardew Valley. If you’re a completionist aiming for 100% Perfection, you’ll definitely want to fill out your Special Items and Powers tab by collecting all of the Power Books and special items in the game. To do so, you'll have to find this hidden area.
To find this special book, venture to the eastern side of Pelican Town. There is a hidden opening in the eastern fence right above the Minecart track near the Blacksmith’s Shop. You can enter this path by walking through the space where the tree overhangs the fence.
Next, you will need to use an Axe and Pickaxe of Steel quality or higher to destroy the large stumps, wood logs, and boulders blocking the path. Once you’ve cleared the path and reached the end, you will find a golden garbage can hidden behind a tree in the clearing. By searching inside this garbage can, you can find the Alleyway Buffet book,
The Alleyway Buffet gives you a special power that increases your chance of finding items in Garbage Cans by 20%. Once you read the book, it will be added to your Powers tab.
Hidden Ticket Above the Bookseller
Prize Tickets can be redeemed at a prize machine in Mayor Lewis’ house for exciting rewards. While Prize Tickets can be earned by completing quests and special orders or winning them at certain festivals in Stardew Valley, there's also a secret one hidden in Pelican Town.
To find this hidden Prize Ticket, start walking north from the Blacksmith’s Shop and go to the area above JojaMart where the Bookseller is situated. Right above the Bookseller’s shop, you can find a large stump blocking the fenced area by the tree. You can use a Copper Axe (or better) to cut down this stump and get access to the hidden area. Once inside, cut down the Fiber nodes until you can get behind the tree. Here, you’ll find a blue gift box. Open the present to collect your free Prize Ticket.
Stardew Valley: Best Gifts for Leah
Here are perfect gifts to strengthen your relationship with Leah, a warm-hearted Pelican Town resident in Stardew Valley.
The Spirit’s Eve Maze
The Spirit’s Eve is Stardew Valley’s unique take on Halloween. It is a spooky festival that takes place on Fall 27 every year. The highlight of the Spirit’s Eve festival is a haunted maze where you can potentially find a rare Golden Pumpkin (odd years) or a Prize Ticket (even years).
To solve the haunted maze, you’ll need to walk left till you reach a signpost with a red question mark (?). It may look like you’ve reached a dead end, but if you stand in front of the signboard and walk straight through the hedges on the left, you'll discover a hidden passage leading to the treasure.
From here, the maze layout changes depending on the year, so the next steps vary based on when you’re participating in the Spirit’s Eve Festival.
Odd-Numbered Years
After walking through the hedges, you’ll find yourself in a secret passage that leads to a cave. The inside of the cave is not visible, so you’ll need to blindly keep walking to the right until you eventually exit the cave. You can even equip a Glow Ring, which provides light, to help you track your movement more easily.
Once you exit the cave, you’ll find a treasure chest containing the Golden Pumpkin.
Even-Numbered Years
In even-numbered years, the Haunted Maze becomes more complex. Similar to odd-numbered years, you’ll find a secret passage to the left of the first “?” Signpost. Continue on this path until you pass Sebastian and reach an unmarked secret passage at the top right of the maze. This leads to a hidden area with a chicken-legged house. In the hedges behind this house, you can find three more secret passages. Following the middle path will take you into the treasure section of the maze, where you can find a Prize Ticket inside the treasure chest. After you’ve collected the prize, simply use the Minecart on your right to take you back to the maze’s entrance, next to Pierre's booth.
The Secret Bus Tunnel
The Bus Stop is a location on the outskirts of the Valley where you first arrive at the beginning of the game. While the Bus Stop itself isn't quite considered part of Pelican Town, there’s one hidden path here that doesn’t seem to fit anywhere else.
If you walk past the Bus Stop and follow the road to the left, you will find yourself at the entrance of the Bus Tunnel. Inside the Tunnel, you will find an electricity panel that requires a Battery Pack. Inserting a Battery Pack into this panel will power it up and begin a series of quests called “The Mysterious Qi.” Inside this secret box, you’ll find a note signed by
Mr. Qi.
You can safely place Artisan Equipment inside the Tunnel without worrying about it being destroyed by NPCs.
