Using their skills in crochet, one Stardew Valley player has created an incredible blanket featuring various animals and crops from the game. Even though Stardew Valley was released over eight years ago, players continue to return to the game as Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has periodically added new content.
As an offshoot of this incredible popularity, Stardew Valley fans often share creative artwork based on the game. Given the charming art style of Pelican Town and the surrounding valley, it is easy to understand the game’s widespread and longstanding appeal. Over the years, fans have created everything from clay models and drawings to crochet projects featuring the villagers, animals, and other items in Stardew Valley.
Stardew Valley Player Completes Incredible Gold Clock Challenge Run
A Stardew Valley player creates an incredibly difficult and limiting challenge run, and succeeds in the goal of buying the expensive Gold Clock.
One of these recent crochet projects comes from a Reddit user known as happy_cloud88, who shared a look at their cozy blanket based on the game. As seen in the image, the crochet blanket featured horizontally arranged rows that included things found in the game world. Some examples included Stardew Valley farm animals like goats, cows, and horses, along with crops like corn, peppers, and pumpkins. In addition, the top row of the blanket featured wispy clouds against a blue sky, while the bottom section had a pier and various items found in the sea.

When sharing the quilt on the game’s subreddit, happy_cloud88 provided some details about the creation process. Specifically, they used a spreadsheet to plot the patterns for the piece. In addition, the many colors were a challenge and required significant time to get right. As a result, the project took almost two years to finish, with happy_cloud88 saying they “lost focus a few times” along the way. Despite the challenges, the quality of the design was evident in the Reddit reception. The post has gained thousands of upvotes, with many fans praising the design and the work put into the project.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the simulation game. The fandom is coming off a big 2024, with the highlight being the release of Update 1.6 for Stardew Valley. Thanks to that content drop and subsequent smaller patches, fans have continued to flock to the game. Even in 2025, the game pulls in thousands of concurrent players on platforms like Steam.
While ConcernedApe plans to carry on with the development of his next game, Haunter Chocolatier, there is a good chance that even more content could come to Stardew Valley in the future. The creator previously revealed that he could continue to work on the game for the rest of his life. With this in mind, it seems likely that more impressive fan tributes will appear online in the days to come.
