How to Get Dorado Fish
To catch Dorado, fish in the Cindersap Forest River in the summertime. This fish is available for catching only from 6 AM to 7 PM. Notably, it spawns throughout this time window, regardless of the weather conditions. If you want to lure Dorado off-season, use Magic Bait. When equipped, Magic Bait can attract Dorado irrespective of the season or time of the day.
An easy way to get Dorado is by purchasing it from Krobus or the Traveling Cart. Every Wednesday, there is a slight chance that Krobus will sell this fish for 200g. The Traveling Cart is also likely to offer it, albeit at a higher price, typically ranging from 300g to 1,000g.

How to Farm Dorado
You can farm Dorado by putting it in a Fish Pond. Upon gathering 5,000g, 200 Stones, 5 Seaweeds, and 5 Green Algae, visit the Carpenter’s Shop and consult with Robin. She will then construct a pond on your farm, allowing you to start aquaculturing Dorado.
It takes three days for a Dorado to spawn in the pond. And in the beginning, you can only grow three fish in each. However, if you complete the objectives, the number of empty slots increases to ten.
The population quest starts when you have three Dorados in the pond. You will need the following items to complete this mission: 2 Bream, 2 Carp, or 2 Chub.
Best Uses of Dorado
Dorado can be used to craft Sashimi, Maki Rolls, and Quality Fertilizer. Additionally, inserting it into the Sewing Machine provides the dyable Fish Shirt or creates an orange color in the dyeing process. If you prefer, you can sell Dorado at a base price of 100g.
During the Aquatic Overpopulation quest, Demetrius will task you with catching ten Dorados for a cash prize. However, this mission is the only one that involves fishing for this particular creature.
