The indie hit Stardew Valley is, in many ways, a life simulator. Fans of the game know that making friends in Stardew Valley is vital to success. A player can gain access to tons of benefits by simply befriending certain characters. Some benefits include helpful information, occasional gifts that help the player advance, and access to items that can increase earnings. When looking for characters to befriend, 
Jas is an excellent one to consider.
Jas is a young girl who lives with her aunt Marnie and her godfather Shane on their ranch just outside Pelican Town. It is evident early on that Jas' parents both died of unknown causes. She is often found spending time with her friend Vincent, the only town resident close to her age. Jas also spends time learning alongside Vincent from Penny. Penny teaches them at the museum since there is no school close to them.
During most seasons, she can usually be found earlier in the day, jumping rope under the large tree to the west of Marnie's ranch and reading outside of Marnie's house later in the day. Her Summer schedule differs a bit, as Jas will take a trip to the Beach in between her jump rope and reading sessions. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, Jas can often be found standing either in or around the Museum. She can also be seen near the Community Center and Haley and Emily's house on Saturdays.
Gift Guide
In Stardew Valley, giving villagers gifts is the easiest and most reliable way to earn their Friendship. This is especially true with Jas, as she doesn't have any Quests that the player can do for her.
There are restrictions to gift giving. Only 2 gifts can be given to a villager each week. The one exception to this is if it happens to be their birthday. On the character's birthday week, 1 extra gift can and should be given. The minimum number of loved gifts to get a villager to their max Friendship level is around 30. Giving them a loved gift on their birthday reduces this to 27. So essentially, the player receives credit for 3 gifts in 1 if they give the character a loved gift on their birthday. Jas' birthday is the 4th of Summer, somewhat early in the year.

Fairy Rose
Pink Cake
Plum PuddingFairy Roses are far and away the best option for gaining her Friendship, as they're the only one of the 3 that are easily gotten in bulk. Fairy Rose Seeds are purchased from Pierre's Store in Autumn for 200g each. Buy and plant around 30-40 Fairy Roses and give Jas 2 a week until there are none left. This will bring her to Friendship level 10 with little effort. It's recommended that the player put some Fairy Roses on their farm anyway, as they make Bee houses produce the most profitable Honey.
Liked Gifts
Jas has only 2 liked gifts.
- Daffodil
- Coconut.
Thankfully, these are both extremely easy to acquire, as Daffodils are a Spring Forageable and Coconuts are a Calico Desert Foragable. Admittedly, it's somewhat difficult to advocate for these during Autumn due to Fairy Roses being as good as they are. However, it is worth noting that these make for good alternatives before reaching Autumn, as it's the second to last season, meaning the player has to do a fair amount of playing to get to it.
Disliked & Hated Gifts
Not all gifts are good. Let's face it, some people simply don't like certain things. These gifts should not be handed to Jas for any reason, as they will actively impede progress in becoming friends with her.

Friendship Perks
Although Stardew is known for its mysteries and hidden quests, Jas only has one Friendship perk to speak of. When the player has reached at least 8 Friendship Hearts with both Jas and Vincent, a Heart Event will be unlocked on a sunny Spring day in Cindersap Forest, between 6 AM and 5 PM.
During this Heart Event, the player will be given Spring Onion Mastery, a special item that permanently increases the selling price of Spring Onions by 5x. With how easy Spring Onions are to get during the springtime, this item basically equates to free money.
