While future updates for Stardew Valley have many possibilities, it would be good to see one revolving around one of the game's most iconic creatures. So far, Stardew Valley's updates have been remarkable for the overall health of the game. At the same time, a few areas of the game could use a little more love. One excellent example of such would be a critter that should be well-known to almost everyone who has played the game. After all, it would be fitting for an icon of the game to have a spotlight shone on them.

While Stardew Valley's latest update is the last one currently planned, it is by no means the end of the line for the game. ConcernedApe has already indicated that he would be interested in making more updates in the future, even after its spiritual successor Haunted Chocolatier is released. Naturally, this is fantastic news for the fanbase. If the game gets more updates, then fans will have even more reasons to keep coming back. Not to mention, regular maintenance is always healthy for a game. Stardew Valley is already a robust title, and its future looks even brighter with more possible updates.

Junimos Could Take Center Stage in a Future Stardew Valley Update

Every Stardew Valley Player Will Meet the Junimos

On their first visit to Stardew Valley's Community Center, players will get their first glimpse of the Junimos. Junimos are nature spirits that inhabit the valley, and they look like adorable little blobs with tiny hands and feet. In fact, they are one of the reasons given for the player to work on restoring the Community Center rather than joining Joja. Players can see Junimos in the Community Center afterward, most prominently when they're carrying bundles right after the player completes them. However, despite their place in Stardew Valley's lore, there is still a lot more that could be done with them.

Junimos May Warrant More Attention in Stardew Valley

To be fair, players have the ability to build Junimo Huts in Stardew Valley to assist them in gathering crops, and they are also the face of the Junimo Kart mini-game. There are some other mentions of Junimos as well, such as the Happy Junimo Show that comes up in one of Sam's Heart Events. Not to mention, Junimos are basically adorable mascots for the game. An update that provides a lot of Junimo-related content would feel like a natural choice for Stardew Valley. It helps that there are a lot of potential features regarding Junimos that could be added, especially after seeing what recent updates included.

One good option would be the opportunity to stretch the customization options of Stardew Valley to include the Junimos. For example, once a Junimo is living on the player's farm, perhaps they could have the option to give each Junimo a hat, similar to the farmer's pets and sea urchins. An update could also feature some new cosmetics and decorations themed on Junimos, or even perhaps a Junimo festival, possibly unlocked once the player finishes the Community Center. Since Junimos are so iconic to Stardew Valley, it would be nice if they got their own update, possibly as a part of a special event.

It would be good to see a Stardew Valley update focused on Junimos. Stardew Valley's future looks great, but future updates can still make it better, especially if they come with fantastic new content. When looking for a source for new features, Junimos should be near the top of the list for Stardew Valley. Between their relevance to the plot and naturally cute designs, they're a natural source of inspiration. Hopefully, somewhere among Stardew Valley's future updates will be one that shows some love for the valley's Junimos.
