Exploring the mines in Pelican Town is a great way for new Stardew Valley players to farm rare gems, artifacts, and stones. One perk to gems is they make great gifts for several characters, making them sought after by anyone trying to raise affection. The requests you can pick up from the bulletin board near Pierre's store also have quests that will occasionally ask for gems.
Once you unlock Special Orders, you may see a task called "Rock Rejuvenation." This requires you to collect several different types of gems for Emily. If you've reached the lower floors of the mines in Pelican Town, then you may already have what she needs.

How to Complete & What to Know
On Day 2 of Fall (Year 1), you'll unlock the Special Orders board in Pelican Town. In short, Special Orders are side quests with longer deadlines and more time-consuming objectives than the requests outside Pierre's Store.
"Rock Rejuvenation" is a Special Order posted by Emily. Before it can appear on the bulletin board, you'll need to have access to the sewing machine at Emily and Haley's house. You can unlock this as long as you have one Cloth in your inventory. Cloth can be obtained from Wool and the Loom.
You can get Wool from sheep and rabbits (requires Deluxe Barn and Deluxe Coop respectively), but you'll need to craft a Loom, which unlocks at Level 7 Farming. The crafting recipe needs the following:

Recommended Methods
For "Rock Rejuvenation", you'll need one of each:
If you've been exploring the mines regularly, then there's a high chance you'll already have the five gems when you accept the Special Order. If not, you'll want to be on the lookout for gem deposits on your next visit to the mines. Unfortunately, the gem deposits that appear are randomized, but some floors have higher probabilities.
You can find the gems for "Rock Rejuvenation" on the following Floors:

While it's not a requirement for the Special Order, you may want to consider upgrading the Pickaxe to a Steel Pickaxe. This will lessen the amount of hits you'll need to break open the gem deposits.

Is It Worth It?
After you've gathered all five gems, deliver them to Emily. The best time to visit Emily is when she's at the Star Saloon (evenings) if you're not at 2-hearts (or higher) with her. Once you've turned in the gems, you'll receive the following:
-
A
Sewing Machine
- 250 Friendship points towards Emily
- 1000g
You cannot repeat the "Rock Rejuvenation" quest.
You'll receive the Sewing Machine the following day after turning in the Special Order. This will allow you to tailor and dye your own clothing without having to rush over to Emily's house. If you're someone who enjoys tailoring your own clothes for your character, then "Rock Rejuvenation" is a Special Order you'll want to complete as soon as you can.
