How to Get Morel in Stardew Valley

Morel is a small, brown plant with holes that give it its distinct mushroom appearance. This item can only be found in the Spring season, either through foraging or through the Cave on your farm. With foraging, most items can just be found through searching any open area in the game, like the Bus Stop or Train Platform. However, specifically with Morel, you'll only be able to find this within the Secret Woods.

This area is just behind the Wizard's Tower in Cindersap Forest, and is blocked by a large log if you haven't unlocked it yet. To get back here, all you'll need to do is upgrade your Axe to Steel or higher, and you'll be able to break through it. Once inside the woods, they'll can be found within the whole area, as shown in the third image above.

Another way you can get Morel is through the small Cave located on your farm. However, this is only available to you if you chose the Mushroom option rather than Fruit, otherwise you'll only have access to Morel through the Secret Woods. Within the Cave, there will be small boxes set up here that will grow random mushrooms for you. There's a chance for Morel to appear, so make sure to check back often.

How to Use Morel in Stardew Valley

Despite just initially appearing as a regular mushroom, Morel can be used for a lot of different things. This includes:

The best uses for Morel are for completing the Community Center Bundles, and using it to create both Fried Mushrooms and Life Elixirs. Fried Mushrooms will require one Common Mushroom, one Morel, and one Oil, and can increase your energy by 135, and health by 60. It will also give you a +2 Attack buff, making it useful for when you're adventuring through difficult dungeons like Skull Cavern.

Life Elixir can be made using one Red Mushroom, one Purple Mushroom, one Morel, and one Chanterelle. Essentially, you'll need to get every mushroom to make this, and it's great to have it on your mining trips since it will restore your health to full. The recipe should be unlocked for you once you have reached Level 2 in Combat.
