The picturesque realm of Stardew Valley is adorned with lush green trees. From the player’s very own farm to the Cindersap Forest – different kinds of trees are scattered around the landscape. Some trees yield fruit, while most of them do not. Trees that do not yield fruit are of two types: common and special.

Common trees include Oak, Pine, Maple, and Mahogany trees, while Special trees include Mushroom and Palm trees. Common trees serve as invaluable natural resources, as they are a primary source of multiple products, including Sap. Players can use these products to craft practical and convenient tools to use around the farm in Stardew Valley.

How to Get Sap in Stardew Valley

Chopping Trees

The simplest way to get Sap is by chopping down trees. Players can find trees surrounding their farm or by going deep into the Cindersap Forest. To cut down a tree, players need to stand next to the tree, with an Axe in hand, and press and hold the left button on the mouse till the tree falls down, yielding Wood and Sap at the same time.

Players should ensure to break the tree stump as well; otherwise, the tree won’t grow back. Once chopped down, common trees outside the farm have a 20% chance of regrowing overnight as a Stage Three tree.

Tapping Mahogany Trees

Mahogany Trees can be grown using Mahogany Seeds and they produce Sap every day. To extract Sap from these trees, players can tap them using a Normal or a Heavy Tapper. After crafting a Tapper in Stardew Valley, players can select it and click on a tree to place it.

Defeating Slimes
