When starting to develop the Museum in Stardew Valley, you will have to donate many valuable artifacts, one of which is the Prehistoric Scapula. In addition to the fact that this item goes toward the general donations to the museum, it is also one of the parts of the prehistoric skeleton, which you can recreate in one of the museum rooms. However, searching for this part can require a painstakingly long time. Many people report having a lot of trouble finding it.
Like other parts of this creature's skeleton, you can find the
Prehistoric Scapula sometimes in both Pelican Town and Ginger Island. Read on for details.
Stardew Valley: How to Get and Use Stardrop Tea
If you're looking for a perfect gift for any villager in Stardew Valley, here's how to get and use Stardrop Tea.
Where to Find Prehistoric Scapula in Stardew Valley
To find Prehistoric Scapula in Stardew Valley, you can use any of these methods:
- Dig one up from an Artifact Spot or Bone Node
- Get it as a drop from a Skeleton
- As a gift from a dog with whom you have a strong bond
If you prefer classic archeology and frequently wander around the surface of the game world, you should check out Artifact Spots — more specifically, in Cindersap Forest and Pelican Town, where the chance of finding Prehistoric Scapula is about 5% and 0.7%, respectively. Alternatively, you can head to Ginger Island and search the local Bone Nodes, where you'll have a 0.8% chance of finding what you want.
But if you prefer combat, you should go to Mines and fight regular Skeletons. There is about a 0.5% chance you will receive a Prehistoric Scapula as a drop. It is unknown how the bone of an ancient animal ended up in a humanoid skeleton, but the main thing is that the method works.
Those who are extremely lucky and have a pet dog may receive one as a gift. Dogs can gift certain items to the player when their friendship bond is maxed out, and one of those items is a Prehistoric Scapula.
A new item was introduced in Version 1.6 that can help in finding a Prehistoric Scapula. The Treasure Totem will spawn a ring of artifact spots around the player, potentially containing a Prehistoric Scapula. The Treasure Totem recipe is learned as part of the rewards for claiming Foraging Mastery.
How to Use Prehistoric Scapula in Stardew Valley
Since the Prehistoric Scapula is part of the skeleton of an ancient creature, it would make sense to spend it to recreate this mighty beast. Once you've collected the Prehistoric Scapula, Skeletal Hand, and Prehistoric Skull, you can take these items to the museum to donate them, and in doing so, you'll create the Sloth Skeleton L. It is only one of the three obtainable skeleton parts, but the rest are just a matter of time.
How to Get a Bone Sword in Stardew Valley

- Use this bone on the Bone Mill to get several types of Fertilizers and Speed-Gro.
