Stardew Valley has captured the hearts of players worldwide with its charming graphics and delightful soundtrack. The RPG's open-ended nature allows players to set their own goals and play at their own pace.
The game is built on a simple concept: players inherit a run-down farm from their
Grandpa in the picturesque Pelican Town. As a newcomer, their task is to transform the overgrown plot of land into a thriving farm. Along the way, players also engage with the townsfolk, dive into the mysteries of the Community Center, and uncover the secrets of Stardew Valley.
While there is no true “end” to the game, thanks to the continuous updates bringing new content, players do come across various milestones and progress trackers along their journey.
Stardew Valley: How to Recover a Lost Sword
Losing items in Stardew Valley can be a real pain, but thankfully, there are ways to reclaim them. Here is how players can recover lost swords.
How Long Does It Take to Beat Stardew Valley?
The time it takes to “finish” Stardew Valley varies based on each individual’s playstyle, strategies, and approach to the game. Discussed below are the timeframes for completing the game’s main storyline and achieving a 100% Perfection score.
Completing the Main Storyline
Since the game begins with the players receiving a Letter from Grandpa, it makes sense that the main story revolves around working on the farm and restoring it to its former glory. Additionally, a note on Grandpa's Shrine indicates that he will return to evaluate the player's success by Spring 1, Year 3.
Passing Grandpa’s Evaluation can be considered the end of the main storyline. The time required for players to achieve this milestone can vary, but, on average, it takes approximately 52.5 hours when focusing primarily on the main objectives.
Achieving 100% Perfection
The Perfection Score reflects a player’s journey through Stardew Valley and measures how much content they have completed. Reaching a perfect score of 100% unlocks additional endgame content. However, achieving this milestone is quite time-consuming.
For gamers dedicated to experiencing all aspects of the game, it typically takes between 150 and 200 hours to complete Stardew Valley.
Players can view their current perfection score using the "Perfection Tracker" statue located in Mr. Qi's Walnut Room on Ginger Island.
That being said, Stardew Valley does not feature a traditional ending. Even after accomplishing common objectives, many players choose to continue playing indefinitely. There's always something more to do, whether it's expanding the Farm, collecting rare and valuable items, or taking part in seasonal festivals – Stardew Valley keeps gamers immersed for hours.
Stardew Valley is available now for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
