How to Unlock Pirate Cove in Stardew Valley

Now that you've arrived at Ginger Island, there are a few different areas you'll need to unlock before you'll even be able to visit Pirate Cove. This includes:

  • Unlock the Western Region of Ginger Island
  • Unlock the Island Farmhouse
  • Unlock the Beach Resort

To unlock the western region of Ginger Island, you'll want to follow Leo to his hut when you first arrive. There will be a parrot inside here that you'll want to give a Golden Walnut to. Then, you'll be able to head over to the western section of the island, where you'll need to provide another parrot with 10 Golden Walnuts to unlock the area.

Over here, you'll be able to unlock the Island Farmhouse and get it set up for you to use. This will cost 20 Golden Walnuts.

Finally, after you've worked on the Island Farmhouse, make your way back to the main entrance of Ginger Island, where you can unlock the Beach Resort. This will cost an additional 20 Golden Walnuts. You'll now be able to move on to the final step of finding Pirate Cove within Ginger Island.

Where to Find Pirate Cove in Stardew Valley

Now that you've met all the prerequisites, it's time to go searching for Pirate Cove. On the main beach where you've worked on the Beach Resort, you'll notice a small area at the bottom right-hand side where a bunch of pieces of wood were previously lying. They should now be gone, allowing you to access this new location.

When you make your way over here, you'll be greeted with a pretty empty-looking beach area with a small pond in the middle with rocks surrounding it in a star shape. Just to the right of this, there will be a couple of wooden planks stacked together, leading into a secret passage. If you enter through here, you'll have officially located Pirate Cove successfully. If you enter during the day, it will be empty, but you'll still be able to visit a small pond at the back, where you can catch some rare and lucrative fish and items. This includes:

However, if you visit Pirate Cove on any even-numbered day after 8 pm when it isn't raining, you'll find a bunch of pirates inside. You'll be able to participate in games like darts and visit the bar for some mead. To receive some mead for free, make sure to visit the bar wearing either a Pirate Hat, Eye Patch, or Deluxe Pirate Hat so you can fit in with the crowd.
