In Stardew Valley, rings play a crucial role in enhancing your combat capabilities. These accessories not only boost your base stats but also provide valuable buffs, ultimately increasing your effectiveness when facing tougher foes. Fortunately, the game offers a generous selection of these essential pieces of equipment, giving you the flexibility to choose based on your playstyle. Among the various early-game ring choices, one stands out as an excellent all-around option: The Savage Ring.

Despite its unassuming appearance, this ring offers a practical benefit, significantly easing battles, particularly when cornered in dungeons. This guide will teach you the simplest method to acquire your first Savage Ring and offer tips on maximizing its utility.

How to Get a Savage Ring

After unlocking the Adventurer’s Guild , kill 150 Void Spirits to get the Savage Ring. Void Spirits are Shadow Shamans and Shadow Brutes, along with their “Dangerous” variants. By completing these monsters’ Eradication Goals, you can purchase a Savage Ring from Marlon for 25,000g.

Shadow Shamans and Brutes are located in The Mines, particularly in Floors 81 to 119. If you want to find more of them, spray on some Monster Musk before entering Stardew Valley's dungeons. The potion will increase your encounters with Void Spirits, helping you unlock the ring faster.

No other vendor offers a Savage Ring. However, you can resell this item to them at a price of 750g. However, it is recommended to keep it in your inventory so you can use it in Ring Forging or Dying processes.

Savage Ring’s Speed buff stacks with other movement boosters. For example, if you already have +4 Speed, killing an enemy while wearing this band will increase it to +6 for three seconds.

Savage Ring’s Effect Explained

The Savage Ring gives you the Adrenaline Rush buff. Immediately after killing an enemy, your Speed increases by +2 for three seconds. The effect can be extended by eradicating multiple enemies back-to-back. But the buff doesn’t stack with your previous kill. If you destroy two monsters in less than three seconds, you won’t get +4 Speed; you’ll retain your +2 Adrenaline Rush for another three seconds instead.

Best Combo for a Savage Ring

Stardew Valley Warrior Ring

The ideal companion for a Savage Ring is the Warrior Ring. With this item, you get a +10 Attack buff after killing an enemy. So, if you combine the two, each eradication will boost your Speed and Attack simultaneously. This combo is excellent for beginner miners as it creates an effect similar to that of late-game options, albeit on a much smaller scale.
