How to Get the Two Thumbs Up Achievement
To unlock the Two Thumbs Up achievement in Stardew Valley, watch a movie at the Movie Theater. You can earn this achievement by watching a movie alone, with friends while playing co-op, or with an NPC. This can be any of the eight available films, regardless of the season or time of the day.
A movie ticket costs 1,000g and can be purchased from the Movie Theater’s receptionist. You can gift these tickets to other characters as a way to invite them out for a movie night. If you do so, they will arrive at the Movie Theater on the same day. However, if you miss the rendezvous, they won’t show up again.
The Movie Theater is an end-game building in Stardew Valley. If you haven’t progressed through the story yet, it’s advisable to complete the main quests before attempting to unlock the Two Thumbs Up achievement.
How to Unlock the Movie Theater for the Two Thumbs Up Achievement
To establish the Movie Theater in Pelican Town, you must either complete Community Center Bundles or pay for all JojaMart’s Community Upgrades. If you choose the Community Center path, you must complete one last bundle (The Missing Bundle) so the Juminos build the Movie Theater. However, if you go with the Joja path, you must pay the company 500,000g to get them to construct the theater.
Here's every item you need for the Missing Bundle:
- Any Wine of Silver or better quality. Use a Keg to make Wine, and a Cask to age it and increase its quality.

Dinosaur Mayonnaise
: Place a Dinosaur Egg in the Mayonnaise Machine.
- Prismatic Shard: Find one on The Mines’ lower floors, in Skull Cavern, or inside an Omni Geode.

Void Salmon
(Gold or Iridium quality): Catch one by fishing in the Witch’s Swamp.

Caviar
: Place some Sturgeon Roe in the Preserves Jar.
- Ancient Fruit (Gold or Iridium): Craft the seed from an Ancient Seed artifact, and plant it in any season except Winter.
You can watch one of the eight movies in the theater every seven days. If you have already watched a movie before the 1.6 update, it’s recommended to check the achievement list in advance, as you might have already unlocked the Two Thumbs Up achievement.
