The creator of an upcoming Stardew Valley voice acting mod has recently divulged the cast members involved in the project. This mod intends to give full voice acting to romanceable characters in Stardew Valley, and is using the help of 12 actors to achieve this goal.
Originally released in 2016, Stardew Valley is one of the most popular games ever created. Not only did Stardew Valley sold over 41 million copies by December 2024, but the title has maintained a passionate community, with some gamers putting hundreds or thousands of hours into the title. This success has led to the appearance of a growing number of Stardew Valley modding projects.

Now, creator Shannon Hobby has unveiled the official cast for the upcoming “Stardew Voices: A Voice Over Mod,” which still does not have a confirmed release date, but is said to release during the Fall. The new mod adds voice acting to all 12 romanceable characters in Stardew Valley, potentially increasing the player’s immersion. The full cast includes Diana Jurand (Abigail), Eamon Kinsman (Alex), Emmanuel Menjivar (Elliot), Ariel Michelle (Emily), Kemi Heydee Stanton (Haley), GM Hakim (Harvey), Aiden Dawn (Leah), Nia Celeste (Maru), Heidi Tabing (Penny), Jacob Hopkins (Sam), David Meyers (Sebastian), and Jonathan David Bullock (Shane). Unfortunately, other characters will not get voice-overs with the mod, but this is still a very exciting project regardless, considering that all voice acting will be made without using technologies that could have cut some corners, such as AI.
“Stardew Voices: a Voice Over Mod” is just the latest of a few ambitious Stardew Valley mods to appear recently. A recent Baldur’s Gate 3-themed mod for Stardew Valley, for example, added over 20 characters, six new locations, shops, items, and more to the popular farming sim. The mod greatly changes the game by adding Baldur’s Village to the north of Pelican Valley, and includes popular characters such as Karlach, Shadowheart, Gale, Astarion, and others. This project became even more well-known when Wizards of the Coast took it down, apologizing for the “mistake” later.
Many gamers who have played Stardew Valley for a few years have tried mods at least once. Stardew Valley has some excellent mods, allowing gamers to change the outfits of characters, make fish visible in the water, add fresh content, and much more. Hopefully, the upcoming “Stardew Voices: A Voice Over Mod” will be just as good as these, helping gamers to connect even more with the characters of Pelican Town.
