How to Get Argon
To get more Argon, players will need to interact with an active Argon Vent. Additionally, they can build an Argon Extractor in their Outpost or buy it from suppliers.
Collect Argon from Vents
When scanning an Argon (Ar) Vent, players will notice the "Harvest" button appearing next to it. The key is to get as close to the vent as possible; otherwise, the prompt will not appear. It's important to remember that Argon is a poisonous gas that can cause lung damage. Therefore, players should aim to complete the harvest quickly and move away from the vents as soon as they can.
For a manual Argon harvest, it’s best to wear a resilient spacesuit like the Mark I.
Build an Argon Extractor Over a Vein
To collect Argon automatically, players should add an Extractor to the Outpost. When placed over a vein, the Argon Extractor will mine this resource and store it for the player.
Argon veins show up on the map as blue circles while players are in the build mode. These spots are typically found near gas vents.
Purchase Argon from Vendors
The most convenient way of getting Argon is by purchasing it. Players can visit any supplier in the major cities to ask for extra Ar. Luckily, this resource is fairly cheap, and players can buy a pack for only 5 Credits.
If the merchant runs out of Argon, players can wait on a chair for 24 hours until they’re restocked.
Best Planets to Farm Argon
The ideal Argon farming location is the planet of Nesoi in the Olympus star system, but players will also find abundant Argon Vents on Umbriel, the moon of Uranu s.
Players looking to extract and transfer Argon to other outposts will first need to place an Extractor on one of these planets and then create Cargo Links to move resources. Those who can’t build links can construct a Gas Storage so they can harvest more Argon.
