A Starfield player online has shared their "beach bum" outpost with the game's community after creating the settlement for a bounty hunter playthrough. The variety of planets in Starfield makes each outpost built by the community extremely unique.
In a system very similar to Fallout 4's settlements, Starfield features outposts that players can build, serving almost as a home base for players to return to during their adventures. These outposts are an optional part of the game, but they can be used by players to showcase their incredible creativity in Starfield. The community has certainly been making great use of the system since the launch of the game, with one Starfield player even spending over 100 hours building one outpost. In the hands of a dedicated gamer, these Starfield outposts can be extremely complex.
Starfield Player Turns Their Ship Into a Space Shark
A Starfield player online turns their ship into a space shark, with a build so complex that it actually manages to break the game.
Redditor Mills1227 shared their awesome Starfield build, which they described as a "beach bum outpost for a bounty hunter playthrough." This Starfield outpost is located on a sandy planet, which also features some tropical trees. With a small body of water, it's the perfect location for a beach build. It's absolutely filled with detail, with a waterside platform the perfect retreat after a long hard day of hunting bounties. There's even a small barbeque area, complete with a cooling crate for beverages. It's clear that Mills1227 has considered every detail here, which comes together to create a really unique outpost.
Starfield Outpost Built on the Beach
According to the user, the outpost is modded, using the Build a Farm, Skully's Emporium, and Walls of Starfield mods to bring it to life. While it isn't a base game creation, that doesn't take away from how impressive it is. As Mills1227 themselves admit, there is one big drawback to the outpost. It was created on Serpentis III, which is a toxic planet. This means they're unable to stay at their retreat for too long, but the user said that it "looks too good not to build on," which is why they didn't consider this when building this Starfield outpost.
With the release of the Shattered Space DLC later this year and the recent release of the Creation Kit modding tools, 2024 promises to be a great year for Starfield. However, that's not all. Todd Howard recently spoke of a "Year 2" for Starfield, indicating that Bethesda is planning to continue supporting the game for a while yet. While many at the studio will no doubt be moving on to work on The Elder Scrolls 6, it's great to see it remains committed to helping Starfield fulfill its full potential.
